Pros: "Dependable, inexpensive to maintain."

Cons: "Did I mention the AC is broken forever?"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I have this car, I'm the third owner. There are a few issues, my AC died a few summers ago and its unfixable so for comfort I have to knock it. And the design is very so-so. It's an old car and it doesn't have a lot of pizzazz. What it does have is dependability. I spend no more than $500 a year to keep it up/maintain it. Oil changes and small repairs. Finally got hit with a big one last month (alternator, which was original). But with that one exception, I turn the key...it starts. I paid next to nothing for this car and it's more than paid me back. If you get a chance to buy one at low cost, you won't impress your friends but you will save huge cash. Check the AC first, though, cause no AC is hard in the summer."

Pros: "Good value for price, good mechanics and seating."

Cons: "Wide turn radius, restrictive trunk opening."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"A good car for driving, dependable and has had low maintenance costs. Front seats are comfortable for larger persons. The DOHC EFI engine is still peppy at 9 years and 120K miles. Rear oil seals repaired under warranty, started leaking again at 100K miles. Ox sensor replaced at 65K miles, otherwise no other problems. Wide turning radius is tough in cramped parking. High trunk lip and small back doors means you can't fit in medium or large boxes at all, but the fold down split rear allows a lot of stuff to be stowed - a couple of pieces of 8 ft lumber will fit in (between the front seats) with the trunk lid closed."

Pros: "Very dependable, low maintenance, large trunk."

Cons: "Can't really say anything."

"I have been driving this car for 4 years now. My mom had it for 3 years before that. As long as you take care of the required oil changes and check-ups it stays in great shape. I have only had 2 issues with it which both come with wearing of parts. Replaced a gasket and the starter."

Pros: "Very reliable, safe economical car."

Cons: "Not the most stylish now."

"I have had several Sables and they have all served me well. I've never been disappointed. I've always had the 24V -V6. Much nicer, more powerful engine. Good power for the car. Leather seats have held up well. Interior and exterior still look like new. A few little rattles now and then. Nothing to objectionable. Stereo OK but nothing exceptional. I have bought them used with low miles and find them to be a really good bargin when obtained with low miles in good shape."
