"Excellent car ..no repair issues, the only hold back is poor quality paint, after 4 years clear coat delamination, see multiple locals with same issue"

Pros: "comfortable seating, trunk space"

Cons: "Poor overall quality"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 4

"I bought this car and was initially impressed with its ride on the highway, the comfortable seating, and the huge trunk. Unfortunately, the paint began to peel on the leading edge of the aluminum hood, the rear brake drums are rusting prematurely, the drivers window goes down when you press the up button, the brand has been discontinued, and worst of all the module that controls the AWD was shorting out my dash board gauges. The cost to replace the module and keep my AWD was quoted at $1900 and I haven't even hit 100,000 miles!"

Pros: "Spacious, large trunk, runs well"

Cons: "Cheap plastic in interior"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"We chose not to go with a mini-van once we had kids, and we had plenty of space in the trunk of the Montego to haul sports equipment and bags for vacations. Back seats fold down to haul long items. Montego handles very well in snowy conditions especially with the AWD. Spacious back seat. We've owned the car for 8 years and have had no major issues."
