Pros: "smooth ride, comfortable, bigger, dependable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Had my grand marquis gs for 13 years it has been the most dependable car I have ever driven. This big yacht seats 6 passengers even has a middle seatbelt. The ride is very smooth, 4.6L V8 engine got plenty of power while the interior is quiet looks very sharp too. I love the digital displays and comfortable bucket seats no issues whatsoever only things done was replacing minor parts and set of tires includes 5k, rotation every 5 months or up. It's a overall excellent vehicle this would be a smooth riding fancy automobile going on vacations the trunk is bigger with a cargo area have lots of room putting luggage and suitcases in the perfect places. I owned tons of vehicles but the Grand Marquis is my favorite one to drive it's the best large sedan ever driven. Gas mileage is 25mpg believed since this is a tank it could haul a 5,000 lbs boat going fishing or ''etc'' with a great towing capacity because car is bigger enough in length and width to haul anything it's size. Drives like floating on a white cloud still has plenty of pep left in it even the engine is just remarkably excellent. Handles better than a BMW or Cadillac does a very wonderful job in snow blizzards too as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia the places I've commuting in car drove through some worst road conditions I am proud of how this tank took so much abuse while driving through snow. It's a Midwest car used to driving in Ohio snowy roads highly recommend these cars because a shame that they were discontinued from the assembly line. I'll much rather drive this than any make or model vehicle because it's a boat on wheels and it's very dependable on the roads."

"I purchased my 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis GS(custom edition) brand new on May 1,2006. To be honest, I checked out over 100 Grand Marquis on my dealer's lot and the car I purchased was exactly what I desired. My Grand Marquis-GS is a custom edition with numerous add-on enhancements by the dealer. First off it is factory two-toned color: primary color is Vibrant White with secondary color is Tungsten Grey. Dealer installed custom Landau vinyl roof with side Opera Lights, chrome wheel edge moldings around all 4 wheel wells with a cloth interior.(I dislike leather seats). Additionally, I had aftermarket products installed, i.e., Dual Exhaust System, 15% dark window tinting on all windows, Ford factory mud flaps all wheels, and finally Nitrogen installed in all tires, including my full-size spare tire. I maintain this vehicle with meticulous attention having it washed regularly, and I apply a premium carnuba wax on vehicle at least 6 times each year. I change my own oil and filter using a brand name SYNTHETIC EP motor oil which is good for 1 year/15000 miles. No smoking or eating is permitted in my Grand Marquis. The reliability, comfort, and quality of my Grand Marquis is exceptional. Probably because I have car's various oils and fluids changed at my Owner's Manual recommendation. The trunk size is enormous for this full-size sedan. It runs flawlessly on a major brand regular-grade gasoline. Local driving gets me around 17mpg, and on the turnpike at 60mph w/cruise control set, I get around 26 mpg. The vehicle rides superbly whether doing local or highway driving. After each run through car wash, I get numerous requests from strangers if I was interested in selling my car. "the answer is always, NO." I replaced the original tires with a major brand's Hydro-edge AS tires which were especially designed for rear-wheel drive cars to prevent them from hydroplaning on rainy road surfaces. Finally, I really regret Ford's decision to discontinue the Mercury brand in 2010. Because of all the custom edition features, my Grand Marquis always gets mistaken for a Lincoln Town Car. I expect to own and drive my Grand Marquis for remainder of my life."

2007 Grand Marquis LS

"I was completely overwhelmed at how nicely this car rode on highway driving. It averaged over 27 miles per gallon on a trip from Florida to Massachusetts. Extremely quiet. It could use a few more horsepower though. Easily the most problem free car I have ever owned."

"Bought mine new in 2004 for just under 17k. Best car I've ever owned. After 161,000 miles still on original brakes! Sorry they stopped manufacturing the vehicle. No major mechanical issues. Normal maintenance and they last forever."
