"Good mpg for luxury vehicle. Largest trunk you can find for a sedan. A really smooth ride. Never had an accident. Only 2 owners - father and then daughter. Maintained by same auto shop with continuous service record."

"Awesome car! My husband owned several over the years. Drove them to 250,00+ miles w/o any major mechanical issues. Floats on the road. If you like a large car, you cannot beat them."

"The Grand Marquis has been perfected for over twenty years-it is the best car for drivers who want comfort, reliability, safety, and pure driving pleasure. I am so sad that this model has been phased out. Sob!"

Pros: "Comfortable, nice to drive, low maintenance, etc."

Cons: "More wind noise than Lincoln or Cadillac."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I never liked to drive my wife's '93 Grand Marquis but this 2001 has been really, really great! Handles really well--steering, braking, on side streets and interstates, too, and even more comfortable on trips than any of the newer models that we've rented after long flights from home (except for one Cadillac that was even better! I'd rather have that Cadillac but too much money.) We've got just under 70,000 on it and have only normal maintenance costs to pay--no repairs from very beginning, and none under warranty either, and no factory recalls, either. During almost 1,000,000 miles of driving between 1946 and 2014, has been the very best for comfort, handling, and cost of maintenance. And we average about 14-18 MPG around town and up to 32 highway (but not that in mountains). And that's why we're hoping to be able to keep driving it into our '90's (7 years to go for me)."
