Narrow year range (drag arrows to filter):
New for 2010 is the S400 HYBRID model. Aesthetically, the S-Class receives a mild facelift and a few interior enhancements, including an innovative split screen interface shared by the driver and front passenger. New Torque Vectoring Brake and crosswind stabilization further improve the sedan's surefootedness.
New for 2009 is the addition of paddle shifters to the S-Class' steering wheel, while the S550 receives heated and ventilated front seats, a power trunk lid, wood and leather steering wheel and new 18-inch wheels. The optional Distronic Plus system now includes Blind Spot Assist and Park Assist. Among Park Assists many features is the ability to inform the driver if the vehicle will fit into an intended parallel parking space.
No car better defines the word "flagship" than the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan. This large luxury cruiser sets the benchmark in creature comforts, cutting-edge technology, and robust performance for the upper strata of the automotive world. Headlined by the mainstream S550 model, the S-Class lineup also comprises the uplevel S600, as well as a pair of obscenely-powered AMG models. But this year, there's also a green addition to the vehicle line. By delivering combined fuel economy of 25 miles-per-gallon, Mercedes' first gas-electric hybrid, the S400, gives Benz buyers the opportunity to be both socially-conscious and well-pampered at once. Except for an affordable price, the S-Class now truly does have it all.

"When this car was new, it was state of the art. Time has passed and innovations have been made to the 2007. However, this model was the best "S" I ever owned. It was my fifth. For a little more than $30,000, this is a good buy. Cost to maintain is expensive."

"This may be the perfect car. You get all the feel and driving performance of a V8 S Class, all the accessories, and roughly 25 MPG in real life mixed city/highway driving (at least in my experience where I have slightly more city than highway). I used to drive a BMW 750Li. Great car, but this car drives better and gets almost twice the gas mileage. Oh, and it costs about $25,000 less. Go figure. The S400 Hybrid is the best kept secret in luxury autos."

"I have never owned a better vehicle. it stands out from the 7 BMW, the Lexus LS460L, or any other vehicle I've ever owned. It really is an awesome vehicle from a handling and comfort point of view. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is seeking the utmost in quality, and its appearance stands out in any crowd."
