"5 Star's All Around...Getting ready for my lease to end and I'm not looking forward to having to give it back......very quality car.....LOTS & LOTS of complements.....even picked up a couple girls on the highway in this !!!"
"This is an immaculate machine. Sporty, safe, fun, reliable, built like a tank but rides like a dream. Controls are easy and the seats are comfortable. Braking is excellent, but the SLK350 is almost too much power. This is my 4th convertible and I can not imagine it getting much better."
"I bought the SLK, A leftover 05 new in June of 06. It has just about every option available including the AMG kit. I have been very happy with the choice. The only sevice that has been required is that recomended by MB. Of all the automobiles I have owned in the past 66 years it is the most fun to drive. As young folks might say "It's a Blast! "."
"Everything as advertised when it comes to performance. Solid at high speeds and on a rail on corners and turns.
Only down side is cup holder placement (not classy to have cups sitting above dashline) and the lack of cockpit & passenger space.
Great performance ride but only good for around town and short week-end trips with or without a small bag when top is down."
"This car is a lot of fun to drive, just not for a long distance. I have the AMG suspension and it makes for a very stiff ride. The upshot is, you don't have to slow down around corners. It handles like it's on rails. I would like a bit more comfort in the seats though."
"The 2007 model is extremely stylish. It is a head turner and a keeper. I have experienced no problems in the year I have owned. The only complaint is the location of the cup holder. It is directly above the radio/cd player. The cabin contains room for me and my purse. Best looking model to date."
"I've had this car since Dec 2004. Other than regular service it's been in the shop only once for a Check Engine light. Only other problem is that the top groans and creaks over bumps. This is not normally a problem except that I live off a dirt road that is like a washboard after rains and snows. The cockpit sounds like the engine room of the QE2.
The car looks terrific and really moves when you ask it. I actually like it better than the SL class. Only major complaint is there is about 1 cu ft of free space in the cabin and only a few more in the trunk with the top down. It makes anything but a weekend trip pretty impractical. Heck, there isn't even space in the cabin for the owner's manual. Also, the funky material MB used for the soft touch surfaces on the dash etc., scuffs if you even glance in its direction. What were they thinking? It can be cleaned with a microfiber cloth and I think they replaced it in later years.
The seats are reasonably comfortable but there isn't much room for adjustment and they really need lumbar support for long trips."
