The 2012 E-Class now boasts an E63 AMG Wagon, while the rest of the line features a set of new engines with substantial improvements in both power and fuel economy. The BlueTEC diesel engine is the only carryover from 2011. Along with some option and package changes, the 2012 E-Class brings a revised 7-speed transmission and minor design tweaks.
Returning for 2011 is the E-Class Wagon; new are the V6- and V8-equipped Cabriolets, and the option of Mercedes' V6 BlueTec diesel engine in the E-Class Sedan. There have been minor exterior and interior design tweaks as well. The arrival of the Cabriolet and Wagon models expands the E-Class lineup. The BlueTec Diesel engine offers an option to an American market looking more and more for economy with luxury.
Luxurious, prestigious and dynamic, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has firmly entrenched itself as the definitive mid-size luxury sedan and wagon. Available in rear- and all-wheel-drive layouts, and powered by a diverse engine lineup that's bookended by a high-mileage diesel engine and a pavement-punishing 507-horsepower AMG V8, the E-Class lineup gets cleaner, sportier and more powerful for 2007, to better compete in what has become one of the most competitive segments in the industry.

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 13,000

Cons: "Almost too refined for the "driver""

"Best car I've ever owned or driven, and I've owned BMW, Audi, Honda and VW. The 2011 MB E350 is solid, smooth, stable, super quiet, comfortable, reliable, and well engineered. The materials are incredible, the fit and finish is second to none and the overall dynamics of the car are unmatched. Of all cars on the market today, you'll be hard pressed to find a better all-rounder. I have the E350 with sport. My only negative comment is that the car is so refined, that the input to the driver just isn't there like it is on a 535 or A6. If you are a "driver" and enjoy driving a car in a sporty manner, be sure to test drive the competitors too. The MB is so quiet and refined, you kinda miss that seat of your pants feedback drivers cherish. Otherwise, the MB is pretty well perfect."

"The car has been perfect since day one in December 2009 when I got it. With the 7 speed auto transmission and the V6 I can get 30 MPG on the highway, if I keep it under 75...It's a really great car."

"This car has an outstanding safety rating. Hydraulic leveling gives a fantastic ride. The V-8 382 hp provides high performance and reasonable fuel economy. The premium 1 and 2 packages provide man creature comforts. Transferrable warranty is good for 2 years or 20,000 miles."
