"I have owned this vehicle for 1 1/2 yrs. I like it very much. It could have better gas mileage in the city. So far I have not had any major mechanical problems. My maintenance cost has been $0. All of service on this vehicle was covered by its warranty. All recalls were done for free. I hope to own this vehicle for the next decade."
"I have had the car for 6 months. Vehicle was purchased with 22 000 miles and now it has 36000. I have not had any issues. Vehicle is built solid. Interior is amazing. Power of v8 powerplant is amazing. Only negative is the fuel consumption avg 16mpg in city and 22 on hwy. I would highly recommend this vehicle."
"We just sold my '03 E320 sedan to save money. I already miss it. It was a joy to drive and it never gave me a bit of trouble. I got excellent gas mileage, sometimes nearly 28 mpg on road trips! Road noise was non-existent. The interior was comfortable and beautiful and the trunk was huge. The cruise worked awesome, very accurate. But, I never did figure out the computer/menu it was just too complicated for me."
"What do I like best about my 2004 MBZ? everything! Mine was ordered custom for me - and I like every feature - esp window shades, split rear seats and navigation. Had ZERO problems (unlike what you may read in the 'rags'). Gas mileage for first 40k ws 22 overall (city and highway); drive mostly city and I am heavy on the foot.
WHAT DO I LIKE BEST? I live in Beverly Hills so MBZs are a dime a dozen - but I never fail to get "beautiful car" from valets, car washs, family and friends. Love it! May you have such a wonderful experience with yours!"
"Have owned more than a dozen MBs since 1970 in gas and diesel models. This 2005 E 320 CDI retains a lot of the classic MB features and feel that make this brand unique. The power and economy from the diesel is amazing. Most people who ride along have no idea they are in a diesel car. There are two glaring omissions though - No dipstick to verify the oil level in the engine, and no available engine block heater for the wintertime. When the temps drop below 40F we park this one and drive the '79 300 CD. Overall a superb car even if a bit costly."
"THE BOTTOM DROPS OUT FAST ON THIS CARS VALUE. MY OTHER CAR, A BMW, HOLDS IT'S VALUE MUCH BETTER. BMW ALSO INCLUDES ALL REQUIRED MAINTENANCE CHECKUPS FOR FREE, MERCEDES DOES NOT (COSTLY!). THIS IS MY 2ND AND PROBABLY LAST NEW MERCEDES PURCHASE. OVERALL A DECENT CAR, BUT NOT WORTH THE HIGH PRICE TAG."
"I've had my 2004 E500 4-matic AWD since Feb 2006 and believe it is the safest, most reliable vehicle I've ever had, even ahead of my 1992 BMW 850i. The BMW, with 12 cylinders, is quicker, but only barely, and the MB holds the road in the middle of a Fairbanks, Alaskan winter remarkably. Perhaps it is the original German All-Season ContiTouring Continental tires. The strength of that 5 liter V-8 is especially noticeable when accelerating at speed. It gives a burst of power. I am 6'2" and find the front seat room comfortable. Gas mileage is so-so in town at 17 mpg and 24+ on the highway but that's not why you buy this car. The car feels safe and runs well despite our severe weather extremes (-50F in winter and +85F in summer). Local dealer provides good service too.
I highly recommend the E-500 4-matic for drivers who want power, safety and quality for year-round driving."
"Picked mine up last Friday. Beautiful and I'm getting better than 30 MPG in combined city/highway - commute is 50% each and in DC traffic that is something! Only disappointment is in the Bluetooth MHI. I can use multiple phones - one at a time - but the phone books does not sync. AWS - wirelss provider for MB wants to sell very high priced Razor phones - the kind you get for free! Bottomline - use the phone handsfree - it already has a telephone book in it!"
"Bought my 2006 E320 CDI several months ago with 13,000 miles on it. Color is black with oak leather seats, nav system, Harmon Kardon radio, power rear shade, etc. Get lots of praise for vehicle's looks when filling up. So quiet most passengers don't even know it's an oil burner. Smooth ride; feels solid as a rock. This vehicle gets 35-36 mpg at 75-80 mph. Most "green" cars don't do that. I think this car has the potential to go several hundred thousand miles. Maintenance costs are high, but this is not a Taurus."
"Even though the car is difficult to keep clean because it is Black, I enjoy everything about the car. It is beautiful both inside and out. The performance is so smooth and quiet. The handling is tight and smooth. The comfort level is remarkable for a smaller size car. I would buy this vehicle again without hesitation."
"This is my fourth MB and my favorite. Have had diesel in the past (as well as gasoline), and find this diesel clean and quiet. Very tight handling, excellent pick-up/acceleration for merging onto interstate. I spend a lot of time on freeways and long trips and feel very safe in it -- a solid, heavy little car. A nice plus is the fuel economy -- over 30 mpg."
"I have owned my e320 since the beginning of the new model year
(2003). It has been a reliable auto that makes be happy of the purchase each time i go on a trip. The car is a joy to drive and outperforms all american autos by a mile."
"This is a beautiful, "adult" car. Handles very nice but standard version should have more than 300hp, Best to finance certified pre-owned w/ low mileage to get best pricing. Not roomy at all if you have to sit in back if your over 6ft tall. As far as gas, you shouldn't complain if you want luxury. Overall this is a very reliable car packed with luxury and performance. I do recommend."
