"A 1992 190e used from dealer who didn't do proper overhaul. After having it redone by MB pros, no major probs. Issues have been electrical, esp. new wiper motor (ca. 1100 bucks!) and new window regulator (ca. 500 bucks). But it is a joy to drive -- turning radius of a Honda, feel of a Lincoln. Even at 18 years old it gets compliments and envious looks. Not bad for a car with a blue book value of just over 2K."
"This is truly a great car. Curretly has 107,789 miles, looks like it rolled of the show room floor and runs exelent. I have had the car for approx. one year. Had 98K on it when i purchused it for $1500. Why so cheap?, has a salvage tital but has all maintenance records. Car was taken care of it whole life and runs great.
I have the 2.6L inline six and the engine is bulet proff. Best thing about the car is everything still works great.
Only issue i have had so far is the ignition tumblers locked up. It had aleready been replaced once about two years prior, by dealer (approx. $300). Insted of replacing it again, i installed a push button start.
Just had a baby boy and the car seat fits really snug in the small back seat. i keep the seat all the way back. So far the car has been great and i will never buy anything else but a Mercades again!!!!
Blue black metalic paint
Black leather interior (very durable)
"This is my second 190E and this one is a 1989 2.6 six cylinder that gets great gas mileage for the performance. It has that heavy Mercedes feel and really holds the road. It was built for the open road and when you floor it at 70 mph it just goes. The car cost $33,000 in 1989 and after 19 years and 178,500 miles it does not miss a beat. Fun to drive and has a great older Mercedes look."
"I bought my Baby Benz from the proverbial "little old lady who only drove it to temple" and I love it. It has the indescribable German suspension - taut yet somehow super-comfy? - that BMW and Benz drivers know and love. It drives great on the highway, gets reasonable MPG, and has enough get-up-and-go for city driving, too. I'll probably drive it for another 10 years if I can swing it."
