Pros: "Comfortable"

Cons: "Underpowered, Overall design quality"

"Purchased with around 100K on the odometer. Car was reliable and comfortable on long trips for about two years, but the road noise, lack of power and poor mileage got old quick. At about 115K the car started having bad mechanical issues. The ABS ring broke, the heat stopped working, the power locks stopped working, the exhaust has multiple leaks, and the front subframe collapsed from rust while being driven. I would not recommend this car as a daily driver, could be used as a winter beater."

"Bought this SUV used. Radio died on me at 147,000 miles. It is a huge gas guzzler, I get frustrated by that cause I drive alot. May trade it in for something else, but the reliability has me re-thinking. Car payments are really low. Has alot of road noise at 65 mph. when I bought it, it had an oil leak which cose me a quite a bit to fix since they had to replace timing cover/gasket, engine oil pan/gasket and it needed front brake service. Otherwise, been a good car."

Pros: "Excellent value and very reliable."

Cons: "Stock radio was poor-upgraded to Clarion"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I purchased the Tribute new, and it is the most reliable vehicle that I have ever owned. 105,000 miles and we just now had our first mechanical problem. Other vehicles that I have owned had problems after 50k miles and were very costly to repair."

Pros: "Looks, Reliability, Power, Comfort, Premium"

Cons: "Fit & Finish of some interior components, Mileage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Has been exceptionally reliable, only minor flaws on the interior with fit and finish of door panels and window controls. Powerful engine & acceleration for an SUV, handles corners without any problems, like Mazda marketed it, The Soul of a Sports car. If they were still making them I'd buy it again."

Pros: "Abused and Used and Never had any serious problems"

Cons: "Exterior look is lame"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I own the V6. My parents got it for me for my 15th birthday. The car has a sun roof and a good stereo system. The rear wheels will peel out when you barely hit the gas pedal. It gets annoying sometimes. It is fast and loud, which could be good or bad. It drinks gas, so be aware. From 25 MPH to 50 MPH IT SCREAMS LIKE KING KONG. Aside the lame outside look, the car is great. No problems (yet) and has had 6 years of abuse."

Pros: "Excellent handling/visibility/comfort/value"

Cons: "Disappointing MPG/acceleration"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"Bought this new as a close out. It was $5K less than the 6 cyl and $10K less than the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV and handled better than both. Same bigger 2.3L 4 cyl in other Mazdas. The mpg was a disappointment, will get at least 17 city in winter, never got 26. Average about 19. It is a little underpowered but it pays off on icy or snow slick roads as the lagging engine makes the traction better. I have passed muscle 4WDs that spun out, but not me. Doesn't work for off road, not enough power. But this engine runs great, always starts right up and runs smoothly. Good room inside. I can ride in it all day and not get sore. Still have it after 8 years! Probably will keep it since it is paid for. Overall been very happy with it. Very reliable. Early problem while still under warranty and none since. 90% US content built in Kansas City by UAW at Claycomo Ford plant. I liked that, too."
