"I bought this car new in 96. I had the plain jane model with a 5 speed. Very reliable never had anything go wrong with it.I sold it with 235000 miles and it still had original clutch and alternator WOW! the struts were the most expensive maintenance, tires were dirt cheap.Averaged 34mpg.I wish i could buy another new one right now. This car payed for itself many times over!!! It never used a drop of oil while i owned it."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 200,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Great on Gas. Reliable. Low Maintanence."
Cons: "Poorly designed placement of things."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"This was one of the best car we ever owned. Bought it for $4,000 through a dealership with only 73k miles when I got my permit. This was the first car for three kids (me and both my sisters). I think this car is very dependable considering we didn't fix anything. Check engine light on, but we kept driving as it is for five years. We finally just gave it away for free to a new driver with 200k miles, and it is still going. We had this car in the family for ten years, that's only $400 per year considering we only paid $4,000 for it. It was the best $4,000 we ever spent. THE BEST CAR FOR THE MONEY."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 50,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Reliable, agile, fuel efficient, peppy"
Cons: "Light - gets blown around a bit on highway."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought this car new to be my "station" car. In 14 years it only has 50,000 miles. But it has been a real trooper. Never a problem with it that required servicing. Just basic maintenance. Needs snow tires in bad weather. It's very light so gets blown about by big trucks on the highway. But it's peppy, handles well and is very maneuverable. It gets 32 mpg highway, which is pretty good for an older car. It's not a fancy car by any stretch and isn't that good looking. But if you want safe, reliable transportation that handles well and that's easy on fuel, I don't think you can't do much better. My best friend actually bought one too after my recommendation and he's been happy with his too."

"I've had this car for 4 years now and I have to say it's the best car i've ever owned, Yeah the check engine light is on but the car still runs just fine, It's the O2 sensor that's bad, yeah it's a easy fix but it's over $120 to replace it and I don't have that kinda money right now."
