Pros: "Decent basic transportation"

Cons: "Latches that rip clothes and belongings"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"So many of the adjustments, from the latch to collapse the between front seats table to the latch that adjusts the seats forward to back, etc. are designed like a 'J' hook and repeatedly catch purse straps (any 'loop' type straps), the cuff on pant legs, etc. Those latch handles have torn or ripped off straps numerous times. While the vehicle is good basically, these repeated damages because of the vehicle design are a problem that significantly runs down any rating of this vehicle."

"I've owned this van for 139 months and put many long distance miles on her. She has had minor needs from time to time, which is to be expected. This is my 3rd Mazda MPV. I would buy one again if they were still being manufactured. I've had many other Mazda vehicles and have loved them all!"

Pros: "Lots of extras for the price. Love the moon roof!"

Cons: "1 leather seat has 2 small tears."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"A medium sized van that's easy to drive and a dream to park. Removable 2nd row seats create a spacious cargo area..I have easily moved couches, bikes and tons of moving boxes. Rear seat will reverse to make a rear-facing bench seat for railgate parties. Lots of glass for great visibility. The convenience of a van with comfort and drivability of a sedan. Reliable and well-maintained. It's a Mazda so there's a ton of miles left in her. You'll love it like I have."

"Great family car when kids where young and even now - great for hauling, for loading up with bikes, sports gear, suitcases, etc. Perfect for active adults. Not necessarily a 'cool' look, but I've found no other vehicle type that fits up to 4 adult road or mountain bikes side-by-side upright and that doesn't drive like a truck. Good for surf boards, wake board, scuba equipment, gardening stuff; great versatility with seat configuration. Love it."

"We bought this car with less than 100 miles. We are now well on our way to it having 120,000! I have loved the fact that it was smaller than the comparable vehicles w/o giving up on any of the conveniences. We have never had to do more than normal maintenance. Really wish they were still making these!"
