Pros: "great car"

Cons: "right rear handle problem"

"I have owned this van since 2005. I bought it used with 25,000 miles in great condition. I have three boys and we have gone all over with this van. The van runs great with a few minor things to be replaced.I wish mazda didn't stop making this van I definitely would have bought another one. I now have 145,000 miles and all good.Just the right rear door handle broke off but I think this is the only flaw it has."

Pros: "lots of room"

Cons: "front cupholders could have been better"

"I really enjoyed having this car. It has been a steady reliable vehicle. I love driving a van and the gas mileage has been decent for a vehicle this size. The seats aren't as plush as my last van but are comfortable. Plenty of cargo hauling room with the rear seat folded down. Since they are no longer produced, I'd recommend having a mechanic check out a used one because the solonoid or coilpacks tend to go one after the other. Otherwise a great family car."

Pros: "easy access, ride, cargo capacity, maneuverability"

Cons: "little cabin storage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"When Dodge decided to focus on the Grand Caravan it made finding a smaller minivan difficult but the MPV was perfect at 2" shorter than all the others. Some nice crossovers filled the void but none can compete for shear useable cargo space. The sliding rear doors make all the difference in convenient access for the driver and the ability to park and unload in tight spaces. For some reason designers seem to think that a big fat shift lever needs to take up all the space between the seats even though automatic transmissions make this feature obsolete. The MPV has one of the few column mounted shifters available and even though the handle blocks the view of the A/C button, it's a much better position than on the dash or between the seats. Oh yes, it's also a well running and handling vehicle and except for replacing the coil packs it's had very few repairs. I'd like to get more than the 18 MPG but haven't found any new vehicles that suit my needs as well as this car."
