Pros: "pretty, comfortable, drove nice, reliable"

Cons: "price of gas, cost of repair and upkeep"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"This was my first car, and she held up wonderfully! I would probably still have her today if it wasn't for an oil leak that wasn't fixed right leading the engine to cease up (NOT Mazda's fault!) It drove great, looked very nice, was super comfy, and was good for the family. I drove a lot in this car and it held up a lot better than expected. I actually cried when I had to let her go. The only downsides is the price of gas (premium) and repairs (parts are on the expensive side)."

Pros: "Gorgeous, a joy to drive."

Cons: "Millenia S is not as peppy as I would like."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I had a '96 Mazda Millenia that I bought used and loved. When I heard that Mazda was discontinuing the line, I bought a beautiful dark green Millenia S, one of the last ones made. This is not a car that you just drive, it's like you wear it. I get in my car and it seems to just take me where I want to go. I love the old boy!"

Pros: "Tight Steering, Expensive Feel"

Cons: "Underpowered, needs a bigger engine"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have owned this vehicle since 2005 & am a proud owner. Since Mazda's are not a big brand name, i got the vehicle for $5,000 cash @ a local dealership in California. The ride is great, it has an expensive feel to it, & realiable. The vehicle has been well maintained & have not had any major issues with the vehicle, besides the regular wear & tear that comes with any vehicle. If i had to picture a dark side of this vehicle, it is somewhat underpowered. Since the body of the vehicle is heavy, the 2.5 litre engine is underpowered, i wished that Mazda also offered a 3.0 liter engine to this model. Consequently, in 2012 I purchased a 2000 Lexus ES300, this was a competitor to the Mazda at the time. The power to weight ratio in this vehicle is better than the Mazda, but the driving experience in the Mazda is superb; it just had a sport like feeling to it, the tight steering wheel & sturdy suspension makes it corner like a champion."

"Sure its not the fastest or the most economical but it sure is fun to drive. If I drive it like I should and keep the rpms low I still get 20-21 overall mpg not bad for a large compact vehicle. Insurance companies still call it a compact so my premiums are low for being 45+ and a safe driver. Hard to believe it will still go 110+ Mph! Safely that is. Cornering isn't as sluggish as you would expect either. It maybe me or just the milli owners but it is suurely a good looking car to get into. Not sexy young but experienced and wealthy looking. IMO at lease."
