Pros: "compact, fuel economy, interior appearance"

Cons: "sits low, back leg room"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"Nice car! I get about 33 mpg highway and 26 city. Interior is stylish. Pretty good "get up and go" power for a 4 cyl. I do hope that your passengers are tiny though because the leg room in back is minimal. Trunk does have surprisingly a lot of room though. Also has very good turn radius."

Pros: "Zoom-Zoom, comfy front, easy and fun to drive"

Cons: "short on back seat leg room, back seat cup holders"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Excellent vehicle for the $$. Be cautious about buying the extras - you'll get upside down (balance due vs value of car) - otherwise it's amazing. PROS: Zoom-Zoom is for real - I have to use the cruise to watch my speed! Quick start, smooth, quiet ride. Corners nicely. Features all reasonably placed - very "user friendly". No trips to the service dept except for scheduled maintenance and the optional alarm (see CONS), better yet, no hard "up-sell" from the service staff! :) CONS: Back seat is short on leg room - even for kids. Also, I have trouble with the alarm every winter - if it's below 50, the alarm goes off when the sun hits in the a.m. - wierd, I know - but they haven't been able to fix it. Cup holders in back seat are not designed well - don't really hold cups . . . All in all though, I'm sold on Mazda and would be hard pressed to buy anything else!"

Pros: "Fun, sporty, cute"

Cons: "Small backseat"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"We have had this car for two years now, and we are going to part with it, but it will be a sad experience. The ONLY thing we have had a hard time with is the backseat room. I would not recommend families with two rear-facing car seats own this car, as the driver and passenger will be cramped in order for the car seats to fit properly. However, for everyone else, it's a wonderful car. It's sporty, fun, the sound system is great, it drives very comfortably, and nothing about it feels cheaply made at all. If our children were closer to riding forward facing, we would just keep it. It's a great car, truly."

Pros: "economy, performance, fun to drive, reliability"

Cons: "Low armrest, even GT lacks some desired options"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I needed a high milage car to commute 70 miles one way to work and didnt want the headaches of a hybrid. After about 5 months of driving it, my mileage is averaging @ 36mpg at a pretty constant 75mph through gentle rolling hills on 4 lane highway. Comfort is adequate, but not great. The door armrest feels a bit low, and the steering wheel feels a bit far away, even when adjusted all the way out.A travel pillow helps with the armrest. The Bose radio system is very nice. Maintenance has consisted of scheduled oil changes and tire rotations. Tires still have 70% of tread after 20k miles. I would love to see Mazda offer the 2.5 skyactive in the 3. If they do, I will be trading my 2012 for a 2014 with the 2.5."
