Pros: "fun to drive, tons of storage, reliable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I unwillingly traded in my dream car (which was unreliable) for this in high school and did not want to like the Mazda3, but I fell in love with it! I drove this car for ten years and only traded it in because the sun here was too hard on it and there were some dry rot issues, plus it was starting to act its age. It was a hard decision, but since this car did right by me for so long, I traded it in for a 2015 Mazda3. The new one is even more of a dream to drive, but I'm still going to miss my cute little '05. I always thought the front looked a bit cat-like and adorable."

"This has been a wonderful car. Sharp styling, beautiful interior styling in the Grand Touring with red accents in the leather/suede interior. Sporty, very sharp handling. There is nothing negative I can say about this car. A little rough riding, but what do you expect in a car this speed oriented? Good gas mileage for a turbocharged car."

Pros: "good, basic car"

Cons: "noisy and body is cheap"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Good, basic, dependable transportation. Nothing fancy but gets you there and back. No major repairs necessary to engine or drivetrain. Body is lots of fiberglass and it is noisy. Never had an accident but brakes were there when I needed them and has enough pickup to get out of the way."

Pros: "Tight steering,No Blind Spots,Sporty,Large Trunk"

Cons: "Wheels rub on tight turns,Gas Mileage?"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I purchased this car used at 47,000 miles. The dealership had put new tires, maybe brakes, recharged the A/C, and replaced the rear stabilizer links before I purchased it. I've had the car now for approx 3 years. I now have 120,000 miles on it, and the ONLY money I've had to put into it other than my monthly car payment/insurance, is I had to replace the alternator and the battery. I have not had to recharge the A/C, add fluids, and have never had a breakdown. I know that for preventative maintenance, I should probably get a transmission flush/radiator flush, but the power steering fluid has never went down in level, I've never had to add oil due to it leaking, nothing. Below the car, it is BONE DRY. I'm 23 and bought the car when I was probably 20, and it has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. The only surprise is that I don't feel like I get the gas mileage I should, but compared to my previous car, a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, 4.3L Vortec 6 Cyl, it is much better on gas than that was."

Pros: "So quick."

Cons: "Such a lemon..."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"When this car was out of the shop, it was the best car I ever drove. Fast, quick, responsive and nimble. Decent fuel economy for the power. However, I have never had a car in need of repair as often as my Mazdaspeed3. From the tumble control solenoid valve to a faulty slave cylinder to a failed transmission (I have driven stick for 18 years and never lost a clutch until this one). The problems dominoed into one another and finally, I had to take it out back and shoot it. Never another Mazda for me."
