"I bought my 1999 Mazda B2500 used in 2003 with 57000 miles. I have been driving it for 12 years, and have had very few mechanical failures. Notably, I had to replace the alternator, and do some improvised repairs to the lumbar support in the driver's seat. My son who was 5 years old when I bought the truck now drives it to college every day. Very good value for a used truck."
"I bought this little truck (Mazda B2300, i.e.: Ford Ranger) almost eight years ago. Since the break-in, I've run nothing but synthetic oil in it, been meticulous on my maintenance and the only "repair" parts I've had to replace have been the plugs, O2 sensors, tires, brakes, serpentine belt, hoses, fluids, alternator and battery. Even the clutch is the factory clutch. This truck just runs and runs. Good gas mileage, inexpensive and overall, one of the best purchases I've ever made."
Cons: "poor fuel economy, major repairs needed at 75kmile"

"The truck has excellent quality and reliability up to about 75,000 miles. Once you get to 75,000 miles things tend to go wrong. Spend about $1200 at this time and then your truck should be good again.
This truck is very fast and has excellent pickup. The fuel economy is poor, even though this is not a huge truck. Quite comfortable to ride in."
