Cons: "It's dead in a garage more often than it runs."

"This car has had so many issues in the six years my dad and I have owned it. First off, the coolant system leaks, so you get overheating issues. We have replaced the water pump four times in six years, and it has had electrical problems the whole time. When I want headlights I have to pop the hood, get out, and actually wiggle the bulb around to make the driver's side turn on. We've dropped more money than the car is worth thinking this problem will be the last, then 300 miles later theres another major issue. In the past six months we've had to replace the water pump, both drive shafts, fix three different leaks in the coolant system and now replace the fuel pump. It's been towed three times since I started school in the fall, and unless you have AAA this would be very costly. It's just not worth it."
Pros: "Solid with at least 100000 miles left to go, easy."
Cons: "Trunk won't close."

"I've had this car since '99 and love it. One of the most trustworthy I've ever owned - up there with my late Volvo, but much cheaper to maintain. I was rear-ended last year in a 'hit and run:' The offender took off before I could get his plate. I have it insured for the minimum, so USAA couldn't cover the fix for me. The body repair estimate came up at $850 which, for the value of the car, chose not to have done. The trunk itself ha a dent right in the middle which prevents it from locking - it closes almost completely, but kept it tapped down ever since the accident Mechnicaly, this car been well maintained, all its records are in order, etc. The brake pads had to changed out once but that was it."
Cons: "Not so cute inside interior. Looks a little grany"

"This 1999 Mazda 626 LX has given me little to no mechanical problems. It has really only cost me oil and tire changes, and just keeps starting up every day! Its not a powerful car (4cyl) so I have always driven it nice and easy, especially up any hills. This and all Mazdas I would recommend ! Also, I like that there are no blind spots anywhere."
Pros: "Great visibility, great seats, good punch (V6)"
Cons: "MPG is at best average"

"I bought this car from my grandmother over a year ago right before I started working full time, traveling 40 miles daily. Great car to commute in. Not especially quiet, but can cruise all day long. The seats are the best part of the car, I have never had such comfortable seats in a vehicle although this is the ES V6 with leather seats (cannot say for the cloth versions). The A/C works well enough though if you are not moving its not as effective. Very smooth car with the V6. A little loud on the highway but with a four speed automatic what do you expect. Mileage is ok, I get around 20-25 depending on how much city driving I have been doing vs. highway driving.
The interior is nice but nothing note worthy. I have the Bose sound system which is great for how old the car is but the only way for my ipod to play is through the 12 volt adapter with a fm transmitter which leads to static coming through. If you are an audiophile it would be best to replace the system to access ipod like sources. CDs work great if you still have them (single disk slot though).
Traction control works great for winter driving. We had a bit of ice last winter that was trouble some but the car doesn't slide much and stays on track.
Now for what's gone wrong. Nothing major really so far considering it has ~50,000 miles. There was a leak in the coolant reservoir that had to be taken care of, and I have replaced the gauge lights that work the speedo and tach etc. I only did the big lights but there are also 14 small ones which I did not replace but a few of those went out soon after and I will have to replace though eventually. The big problem I have right now is a valve cover gasket leak that is slowly loosing oil (but compared to cars with >190,000 miles it's hardly anything) but it burns off on the exhaust right below and makes the car smell horrible but only at idle. It's a $500 fix from my local firestone that I need to get around to getting it done. Not great but I understand that this stuff happens.
Not exciting car to drive at all, but the V6 has a bit of punch when pushed, but as I said before it drives smoothly for being a main stream midsize car."
Pros: "good ride good milage for a six cyl. large trunk"
Cons: "radio nobs missing. will need car mats."

"Has been a reliable vehicle. Loved it when it was new. Radio nobs are missing but it works and sounds good. Right front signal light lens missing and light needs to change.(hit traffic cone) leather interior(gray) intact. Headlight lenses are a bit foggy from age. No dents, some minor scratches. White with gray leather interior."
