"I purchased my 2005 Lincoln when it was 1 year old off of lease for $21,000. It included a 75,000 extended manufacturer warranty. It was recalled for a steering issue which has been totally replaced at no charge. I had to replace the starter alternator about a year ago. It showed signs of possible but Ford dealer was unable to confirm problem. To ensure our satisfaction (it was under lifetime replacement warranty, they decided to replace it at no charge. Brakes are still oriiginal, over %0% wear left. Only other issue was A/C part failed and that was expensive. I have always averaged about 22 MPG combined. I have had other Ford products and always been happy with decision. It still looks and runs great!"

Cons: "COULD USE BETTER GAS MILLAGE AND MORE UPGRADES"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I have had many cars in my time. american, japan, china, German and others that was sapposed to be great. I had about 50 plus cars and still going and i still stand by the towncar, I had 7 Lincoln towncars and all have reached about 500k or more with little problems and with taking good care of them. A very smooth, confortable , roomy and safe car. I still own two and i am working on another before there gone. i can only hope they will be back even better. The best of luxury for the money. Go Lincoln."

Pros: "Size, comfort, easy to drive, storage and mpg"

Cons: "Unattractive drivers dash"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Love this car because it drives nice and has room for 6. Also the trunk is huge even with the optional storage container. Holds anything without effort. Has comfortable ride and the steering is not neutral. It steers and corners very well for a car of this design and size. Obviously, they could have put more attention to the drivers side dash and guages, however, they are clear and easy to read. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone who needs room with understated good looks."

Garage kept!

""Check the milage on the Towncar vs many other much smaller cars. On the highway I consistently get 26 to 27 mpg. That's at about 70mph. The transmission has what I call a glide mode. If you take your foot off the gas the car keeps on rolling at speed. Combined milage is about 18 mpg. Performance is fine No problem accelerating up steep grades . It passes other cars just quickly. Handling is good enough for me. Takes corners fine. Of course comfortable. Mechanical problems have been the air ride bags - had to replace them. And of course the window motors. Expect to replace those at some point. At 120,000, no major engine and trany work needed. Very reliable car in the 2 years we have owned it.""
