I own this car - My approximate mileage is 126,000overall rating 7 of 10rating details
Pros: "Can be fun, needs mods, fix electrics and drop in"
Cons: "costly, gas hog, buy a pony instead"

"I love the way the LS handles. I dropped it a bit and put proformance tires on front and MAN does it hug the road. pUT A COLD AIR INTAKE AND DUUALS AND IT IS A STOCK SCREAMER. Tint the windows Milage is poor and the electrics are a nitemare, but hey it moves and it has got me out of ,more than one tight spot. It can be quick and nimble; but it is a costly repair hog and electrics are nasty"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 184,000overall rating 7 of 10rating details
Pros: "Handling top notch with good ride."
Cons: "rear seat leg room, icy condition traction"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 5
"To bad Ford/Lincoln didn't continue the LS and refine it The V8 engine is responsive and gets good highway mileage and the ride conformable and reassuring. More than once its handling has gotten me around surprising road hazards. The styling even after 13 years gets positive comments. Some low points are noise level for the class, rear end spin out on snow & ice (I use studded snow tires to get around this), rear leg room, limited cabin storage."

"This car has been very reliable... I have had very few issues with it. Drivers side inside door handle and a couple of engine coils. Otherwise I have been very satisfied with it."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 103,000overall rating 5 of 10rating details
Pros: "Fun to drive, handles great, creature comforts"
Cons: "Small interior, a service nightmare"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"I have owned this vehicle since 2006. It's been in the shop so often it's a crime. But since I purchased the extended warranty, I was able to keep fixing it. But when the car is in my possession, I absolutely love it. It rides and handles like a much more expensive luxury sports sedan. The creature comforts it offers are second to none. I would never buy an older LS. Since it IS a Lincoln, repairs are very expensive."

"Sorry if the layout is tough to read :/ _____ VALUE: 5 - Suffers because of the higher demand 03-06 models, but still worth the price. _____ RELIABILITY: 5 - Things seem to go wrong one after the other, but this may be simply caused by age. Or because I bought it in rough shape for very cheap. However it has never left me stranded. _____ QUALITY: 6 - If you try to take anything in the interior appart to fix something, THAT PIECE WILL BREAK if you are not incredibly careful. Leather is still intact and common wear and tear seems to be have fought off well. _____ DRIVING: 7 - Plenty of power to get up to speed and even have some fun. The SSD manual mode if fun here and there. It handles bumps very well, but suffers with side-to-side motions. The car has a very nice feel while driving. _____ DESIGN: 9 - Not too complicated, not too simple. Everything inside is pretty pleasant to look at. I love the look of the exterior of the car. _____ COMFORT AND CONVENiENCE: 9 - Speed control, traction control, tons of system checks and info, heated seats, electric seats, lumbar support, comfy leather, rear defrost, 4 cup holders, 2 cig lighters, tight seal moon roof. It has a lot of options that still dont even come standard today. A true luxury car for a very affordable price. Very comfortable, very convenient. _____ OVERALL: 7 - I have been driving this car for about 4 months now, and I've had an OK experience with it. Overall i am quite happy with my purchase and it has proven to be a fun, and acceptable car to drive. It has some problems, as you would expect on a 2002, including the common coil pack problems, small leaks through the weatherstripping, peeling clear coat, overheating due to a oil change and an unapproved "topping off" of my radiator fluid, the alarm would let me start the car (i just removed the fuse), wheel hub assemblies are trashed (Due to a cold and wet climate), broken interior parts, grinding noise coming from rear wheels. If you thinks there was a lot wrong in a 4 month period it because i bought it very cheap and it was in terrible condition. I KNEW WHAT I WAS GETTING INTO. The reason that I had to do all this work is because the last owner neglected it. If you can find a car in nice shape it'll be worth the money."

"this is a one owner vehicle that has been great to own. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles and done other preventive maintenance according to the manufacturer's recommendation. I have never had a vehicle that has lasted so long or has been so reliable. My next vehicle with be a Lincoln."
