Pros: "Owned since 2000 with 11,000 miles on it."

"Changed plugs at 90,000 miles. Lube, oil & filter using Mobil 1 every 3,000 miles. All features work. Had torque converter replaced at 70,000 miles. Replaced fuel pump - ethanol damage. Serpentine belt replaced at 94,000 miles. All Features Still Work."

A perfectly balanced vehicle.

"Performance and comfort equal or superior to any contemporary vehicle on the market today. Strong V-8 power and acceleration combined with 28+ mpg highway economy."

"I got really burned when I bought a 1997 Cadillac STS. I didn't read any reviews or owner forums and bought a head gasket issue a week after purchase. I bought a truck and drove it for a year and decided to read forums and reviews on Lincolns. I live in SW Florida and I saw alot of town cars and continentals. Well, today I proudly bought my 2002 Presidential Edition Continental with 155k. It is mint and will stay that way. If I ever need to replace the engine, then I will. The ride is perfect for my needs, especially with a bad back. I suppose I'd buy a new one, but 2002 was the last year for these. So, I guess my car for the next 40 years will be this as long as they still offer parts when needed. I hate buying cars, so I'll stop with this one. P.S, If this car burns me then I'm giving up and who knows what I'll drive. But make sure you do like I did, read forums, reviews, and ask for all maintenance records. This is a must to ensure your new baby was well maintained and tooken care of. :)"

"I LOVE Lexus, but in the looks department the Lexus LS is a BIG FAILURE. The Lincoln for the money is the BEST looking, most reliable v8 luxury car you can buy. Look for Lexus LS430 cars from 12-14 years ago you will pay out the nose. For the price of a low mileage Lexus ls 430 you can buy 3 or 4 low mileage Lincoln Continentals. The Lexus is VERY superior in resale, somewhat superior in quietness, and YES a little bit more reliable. BUT the Lexus cost more to insure ! The Lexus also costs more to repair. The Lexus also happens to be VERY ugly ! And a lot of Americans cant afford to buy Lexus at its going rate ! ! If you have 3500-8000 dollars to spend my money isn't on Cady but LINCOLN CONTINENTAL !"
