"So many things went wrong with this car that so it is the worst car I have ever owned, and I did make a big mistake by thinking you get what you pay for. The engineering is as flawed as I have ever seen, and you will not see many of these cars getting old. The engine has a bad problem with the head gaskets going out, and there is a kit for the dealers to repair it. My original engine ceased after 25k miles, but Ford did replace the engine only they did not put in the kit to repair the head gasket so it blew out again without ceasing the engine. They did put the kit in for no charge, but the first engine clogged the water pump so it neede to be replaced too. The air conditioner did not blow any cold air after the car was 3 years old, and the air ride suspension did not work after 6 years so I used it like a low rider as it was very unsafe to drive with no suspension. The driver door had issues as the window would not open and the door would not open too after 11 years, and the electric antenna would not go up after 5 years so the remote unlock would not work. The check engine light would go on and chirp after driving 10 miles, and the mechanics at the dealer did not know what it was so I lived with it for years too as it would chirp like an annoying bird for as long as I would drive. There are better choices for you to make so do not buy this car."

"Bought this as my very first car. withing 4 days the air suspension blew out from my friends sitting in the back seat while it was inflating. the power locks and reading lamps went out after i shorted a fuse from trying to put in a deck (very very frustrating btw). This car is fairly expensive to fix too. especially the air shock system (700 dollars for one air shock WITH maintenance and a USED part!) The car runs excellent though! I do love this car even though it has given me problems. I am selling this car because the mechanic told me there will be more problems with it down the line =[."

"I bought my continental from an auto mechanic who was not very honest. he knew it was a bad car but he just wanted to get rid of it so he sold it to me, a teenager who was buying his first car. the vehicle did not have any problems right away. but about 2 months later i learned the rack and pinion system needed to be replaced. that was very expensive. next the water pump and steering pump needed to be replaced. the transmission would shift erratically when the dashboard would go berserk. it would tell me i was going 188 mph. the car would not stop beeping so i unplugged the sound wire. even after changing the trans fluid and the filter the car still shifted choppy and erratically. one positive aspect of the car was when someone pulled in front of me my car was not damaged except for paint chips and a busted light, but his truck had a huge indentation on the side. the car is a tank. in my opinion the electronics system was poorly created. the mechanics were low quality/poorly engineered."
