Narrow year range (drag arrows to filter):
The SC gains integrated side mirror turn signals, a new color and an easier to use power top control switch.
Sole change for the SC 430 is the introduction of the fifth iteration of its signature Pebble Beach Edition that includes specific exterior and interior colors and trim and special 18-inch chrome wheels.
Although you'll see numerous companies bragging about their all-new retractable hardtops, Lexus has been successfully building one of the best in the business for over five years. The elegant SC 430 convertible is a modern drop-top coupe that navigates the comfortable middle ground between luxury and performance. While it lacks the razor-sharp handling of a Mercedes-Benz SL or Cadillac XLR, the SC 430 is as equally at home cruising the winding turns of the Pacific Coast Highway as it is the shopping mall parking lots of Beverly Hills. Beyond its retractable hardtop, the SC 430 also boasts a set of wide and supremely comfortable front seats, as well as one of the segment's loveliest interiors.

"My only problem was the origianl Bridgestone Potenza run flats; Rode and handled terrible and poor mileage. Replaced them with Michelin Sport Pilots with Antera wheels, 8x18 front and 10x18 rear. Different car, smooth as silk and handles great and the fatter tires on the back looks a lot better. Bought an used donut tire to throw in the back for long trips."

"After having owned a BMW, a Jag, and various other vehicles, one might think I would find the SC 430 average, but far from it. It is the best car I have ever owned. I fell in love with the styling when I first saw it in 2001, and wanted one since then. I could talk all day about all the great features, but if you are really a automobile enthusist, you will want to know the week points. Before I criticize, I must say, I believe this is the best car value on the road today! The weak points. The rims are hideous. I replaced them with aftermarket. The back seats are only good for VERY limited use or small children. The spare? Isn't room for one if you want to use the trunk. The handling is a little soft in high speed cornering. That's it . . . I can't find anything else wrong with the car. Fair gas mileage. Great if you consider the high performance V8. Fast, convenient hardtop up and down. Great interior design and comfort. You won't find an overall better car unless you jump into the $200,000 plus range, and even there I would say it competes well!"

"I bought my 2002 Lexus 430SC used in 2006 and immediately had part of the body repainted due to stone nicks. Otherwise, the interior was perfect and the body had no dents or dings. I couldn't be more pleased with this automobile. It rides smoothly, has plenty of zip and is comfortable for a person with a touchy back. The service is beyond compare. Always a loaner and omelets, bagels juice, etc. in the morning at the service department. Buying used saved a lot of money and because the body style changes very little, the car still looks current. I have the gold model and people remark on it. Very few are in my area and it really stands out. Guess you can see I love a nice car, especially this model Lexus. It is one gorgeous convertible?"
