"We bought our 03 RX300 about 5-6 years ago. I put a lot of miles on (I am up to 167000) only problem we had was the drive shaft (cause by towing to big of boat) and replacing the catylic converters. A great car, hard to give it up, every body I know that has the same model says the same thing."

"Floating on air ride. Comfortable and classy, I plan to purchase a newer model used one day, but not until this one is worn out."

"The car was used, but the previouis owner had all the recorded information on maintenance of vehicle since it was purchased in 2001. The vehicle had less than 40,000 miles and was in mint condition inside and out. It drives very well, great handling, roomier interior, I love it and my husband bought this to driver to work. I prefer driving this to my new car. My next new/used car purchase will definitely be a Lexus."

Pros: "great $ deal, cushy ride, classic look"

Cons: "not fun to dirve like a 4 speed would be"

"Purchased in 2008 w/94,000 miles, 3rd owner, online, sight unseen. Thought my husband was crazy, but it looked like new! Has been unbelievably good. Had motor in driver window replaced, and 2 fans in AC, due to noise. Someone told me these fans were the most ordered part. Occasionally squeals when cranked & have had belts replaced, but still squeals sometimes. Steering column makes funny sound when weather is very cold in the morning. Hatch no longer locks w/key clicker; have to use the key. We are not 'car people' so has had no special care; had oil changes every 5000 miles. I don't know what else to do except keep tires rotated and balanced and brakes kept up. Looking for a newer model now so my granddaughter can have this to get her through high school and college. Looks like new inside, minor scratches on exterior. Only replacing because I love my granddaughter who has always said she wanted this car."

"It's been a great auto to own with low maintenance until recently, the transmission went out. I did hear that this year of Lexus were known for transmission problems and a rebuilt one including labor from a dealer is $4,500.00, Something to consider when buying this car. Other than the transmission issues, it's been a great auto."
