"I have been an owner of a 1990 ls400 since 2003. It has the 1uzfe engine and now has 280,000 miles with no major work done on the vehicle. When it came time to find a new primary vehicle and move the ls as the secondary vehicle, another Toyota/Lexus V8 2uzfe engine was the only choice. The Sequoia and lx470 didn't have the smooth ride we wanted, but the 2004 GX we found fit the bill. My ONLY gripe is the driveshaft vibration and driveshaft clunk at a stop. There is a dealer technical service bulletin that will fix this for free before 70,000 or 5yr. Once that was fixed this vehicle behaves and drives as a Lexus should. VERY HAPPY!"
"I have always owned a Lexus. I bought the GX470 because it was so stylish. It has a nice ride but I am in Texas and the 4wd I probally will never use. There are buttons and whistles that are not useful to me. I don't like loading the CD from the glove box either. But my overall rating is this is a family safe vehicle, worth the money and the trade in value is nice, I am going for something smaller. I have never had an issue with the services or any Lexus vehicle I have owned. Very NICE!"
"Bought this truck about 18 months ago from the local Lexus dealer as a CPO. Just 2 minor problems (drive shaft and rear view mirrors) which were fixed by the dealer at no cost under the CPO warranty. I have 61k miles on it - no squeaks or rattles. This my be the best quality car I have owned. Very good in rough off road and snow (this truck is a Toyota Land Crusier Prado in the rest of the world and it will get you places off highway you might not expect)"
