The GX 470 is a tall SUV with very Lexus-like styling (though the rear-end look is faintly reminiscent of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport). A GX 470 has a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $47,350. Toss in navigation, the Sport Package with Kinetic Suspension and rear-seat entertainment and the price jumps to over $58,000. A look at the Fair Purchase Price shows the typical transaction price for the GX 470 to be about $5,000 above dealer invoice. Lexus models are always in high demand, so don't expect to find deep discounts or rebates on this vehicle. The GX 470 is expected to retain a high resale value, holding 65 percent of its purchase price at 24 months and 49 percent at 48 months. That's better than the Cadillac SRX, Lincoln MKX and Mercedes-Benz ML, but on par with the Land Rover LR3, Volkswagen Touareg, Infiniti FX45 and BMW X5.
