In 2010 the Range Rover Sport enjoyed a significant freshening, receiving two new 5.0-liter powerplants (normally aspirated and supercharged), along with styling updates reflective of the increased power. This year the changes are less substantive: The Extended Leather Package and contrast stitching on seats, center console and door panels are now standard on HSE Lux and Supercharged trims, a new Vision Assist Package is available, and both standard and optional audio systems have been upgraded.
Looking for something as plush as the big Land Rover Range Rover but with a more playful side? Try the smaller Range Rover Sport. The Sport's shortened wheelbase means slightly less passenger and cargo capacity, but the tradeoff in improved stability, ride and handling is well worth it. Off-road ability is not forsaken, either, and the Range Rover Sport can climb the steepest terrain with the best in its class, even with its performance tires that are oriented more toward pavement use. Available with a 390-horsepower Supercharged V8 engine, the Range Rover Sport is well equipped to do battle with the likes of the Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz ML and Infiniti FX45.

"I fell in love with this car the first time I saw it. I've now owned it for over 2 years and can honestly say it is by far the highest quality vehicle I've ever owned. I have teenagers and even they love to be seen in this car."

2006 Vesuvius Range Rover Sport S/C
"I bought my 2006 Vesuvius (orange) Range Rover Sport S/C back in 2005 with 30 miles on it. Now I have around 104000 miles on it and it drives like new still. I love this vehicle! I am currently looking for one with lower miles for my wife because she keeps wanting to take mine! If you are going to buy new then don't be affraid to hang on to it until at least 100k miles. I love this vehicle so much the only thing that would make me get rid of it is the new 2012 Range Rover Sport S/C! I wouldn't bother with other vehicles..."
