How does the freelander still get a 6/10?

I owned and sold this car
Reason: Engine failed. - My approximate mileage is 120,000

Pros: "Handles great for an SUV, cool tire covers"

Cons: "Everything else, complete disaster."

"This car is guaranteed to have an engine failure, it's not a matter of if, it's when. They constantly overheat. Landrover will claim it's an issue with the coolant reservoir, just to drag it on till it's out of warranty. Then eventually it will overheat so bad it will blow a head gasket or slip a cylinder sleeve engines are over $9000 and most likely not even available. Run away from these cars. Other issues I had, broken window motors, bad fuel pump ($800) since it was in the gas tank, multiple brake jobs."

Never getting rid of it, love it to much!

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 146,000

Pros: "Super fun to drive, comfortable, and just love it!"

Cons: "some cheap plastic parts but that's all."

"Okay so I bought this suv at 65,000 miles on it and I just love it, can't get rid of it. It has approximately 146,000 miles right now and still runs like brand new. I took it off roading and just tears up the dirt! It might be little but don't underestimate its power of off roading! This suv might be small from the outside but its very spacious and has really good head room, even my friend being 6ft 7in can sit comfortably. I love the power that comes from the 2.5 liter v-6 engine, the torque on this car is monstrous, I have tested myself from 0-60 and I got it in 6.32 seconds. I highly recommend if you like off roading and the comfort of sitting nicely, I would get another if I could. The heated seats are amazing, they aren't too hot nor do they take forever to heat up. The design is really nice, I love the way Land Rover put this car together, easy access to change parts and very sturdy body. I haven't had any problems with the car and I don't think I ever will. I just wish I could get a manual transmission for this suv."

"owned this car since 2004 i am the 2nd owner . i never had any problems . always kept up with service . alot of people dont know how to treat there loand rover . i use it to drive every day and put alot of miles on it . its been the best car ever! just had to fix the ac one and thats it , my mechanic keeps it up to service . awsome value i cant believe kelly blue book is saying its soo low i cant find one anywhere that cheap !! i wont be giving mine away lol silly value on here ,its worth $6000 all day ."

Pros: "great price, comfortable, rock solid on the road."

Cons: "consciencious care"

"I was encouraged to get rid of it, but I have had a very wonderful relationship with this car since buying it used a year ago. Requires conscious care, but delivers excellent performance. No regrets whatsoever."

Run away as fast as you can!

"Worst vehicle I have ever owned. Multiple mechanicle issues along with the fact that any repairs were always very very expensive. Completely unreliable."

Fell in love @ test drive
