"Have enjoyed owning this SUV for the past 10 years. Only selling it because we are moving out of state and only want to take one car with us. Will probably buy newer version of same model once we get settled. Only complaint has been gas mileage. Only about 15 mpg in mostly city driving around L.A."

Pros: "Reliable, safe"

Cons: "Need more room for growing family"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have owned this vehicle for 11 years. Hardly any issues at all with this vehicle. Comfortable for a family of 4 and lots of cargo room. I am looking to get another one with all the upgraded features now offered. The warranty and safety awards were what really made my decision for this vehicle. Great vehicle for long trips or just around block. I would definitely buy this again!"

"Bought this Sorento new in 2007, mileage now at 91k, car has required routine & preventive maintenance and, other than one minor, no repairs. Excl. control in bad weather/steep slope driving, mileage acceptable, great cargo space and excellent field of vision. Car has been a reliable workhorse and family car, comfortable & quiet ride. Fuel efficiency good for SUV."

Pros: "Int. finish, seats, 4x4,winter/off-road capability"

Cons: "Harsh ride, low MPG, ext. molding poorly affixed."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 6

"The ride is bumpy, as it's built on an old-style truck ladder frame (stiff). But it has exceptional clearance and angle of approach, is excellent in snow and off-road settings, deep puddles, or just a deeply rutted parking lot at soccer practice! Also great for driveways that get plowed in over the winter on main roads. Not great on gas, but ok, about 17 mpg. Nice fit and finish inside vs. the competition for the model year, and lots of storage bins/drawers. Very comfortable seats for those of us who are tall, and seating position make the bumpy ride fine to deal with. Great Sound system too with the premium sound."

Pros: "Cabin layout was good, folding rear seats"

Cons: "Enngine, AC, not up to a long life"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"I bought the Sorento new in 2004. Kia did stand by the 10 year 100K warranty. However after eclipsing the 100K make the repairs started coming often and very pricey. Each repair seemed hampered by and engine compartment that required extra hours. From 100k to 140K, I had to replace timing belt, timing belt sensor, water pump, alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning. Right as I traded it in one of the rear window switches would not roll back up. I serviced the car on time and as recommended. To have it at a point that I just didn't trust it to take more than a few miles from home wasn't what I expected."
