"Mileage for in-town driving was misleading. We have a lot of traffic lights in our town, very few of them synchronized. So instead of the company's claimed 17 MPG we are averaging about 14, and it has been as low as 12.
Highway, though, is another matter. For pure interstate driving (fill up before entering, and again just after exiting), we've gotten up to 26 MPG, a couple over the suggested mileage.
My wife and I are seriously considering a second car for in-town driving, just because of this gas mileage issue. We are retired and have been getting by with just the one vehicle. But in-town gas pumps are not our friends."
"A great reliable van for those on a budget. I have driven it across the country and back (18 hr driving days) with no signs of struggle. I put over 40,000 miles on it last year alone and it is still holding up."
"Own a 2014 Kia Sedona just 10.000 miles. Bought it with just 6.800 miles on it. That should have told me something there, the first owner didn't like it either. Way to complicated to operate as far as all the switches to operate sunroof, sliding doors, etc. etc. There are switches on the ceiling, the dash, the door panels. should be placed all in one location. The center console in worthless and in the way even though it folds down. Bad idea. The backup camera is a total joke and very annoying! Will more than likely have dealership disconnect."
"I totalled my first Sedona and bought an identical car to replace it. I have never been sorry. Only problems were minor (radio stopped working and bad battery) which were both replaced for free within the first year I owned the car. Since then NO issues. Both my daughters have Toyota Siennas which are great cars, but I would take the Kia over them in a heartbeat."
"Always dependable...has been to Florida & Maine without an issue.
At 65 mph+ avg.26 mpg.Comfortable in all 7 seats! Good power. Moved mowers, college students and friends...plenty of room in & on this vehicle. DVD player, CD and power heated seats worked flawless for the past 8 years.
Local driving only averages 19 mpg, one power sliding door was always a problem after first year and sun roof leaked in pouring rain."
