I own this car - My approximate mileage is 60,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Mileage/capacity/comfort"
Cons: "Air Conditioning / seat belts /"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I purchased this vehicle extremely quickly after being in a horrible car accident that totaled my 2005 Toyota Matrix. The Toyota was a car that I loved and it was more than just a car. With that being said, the Rondo had big shoes to fill. During the buying decision, given that I was just injured in a bad accident, the side airbags were a great comfort. I also felt good about the higher safety ratings of the vehicle. While the engine was bigger than the Toyota I have found that the gas consumption is comparable. I love that I have a 3rd row, this makes my fuel efficient car capable of moving people like a gas guzzeling SUV. While I can note that putting grown adults or older children is not ideal for the back most seat, it works out great for smaller children. I have used this vehicle for several road trips, about 4K miles round trip, where we had all seats filled. We were comfortable and happy. I love that the seats fold flat. This allows me to have a huge space if I need to move bigger things, very comparable to a SUV for me. I have not been impressed by the air conditioning, and my opinion has been shared by many on other online forums. My children and I are also constantly frustrated by the fact that the seatbelt mechanisms lock up and do not easily allow for them to buckle themselves in. My suggestion for future models would include: more user friendly back gate opener for 3rd row occupants, stronger A/C, completely revamped seat belt mechanisms (perhaps a longer belt all together will better accommodate the use of booster seats, perhaps the actual issue). If I had it to do all over again, I still would have purchased the vehicle, but; if given the chance would have selected a sunroof and 4X4 option."

"2008 and still running great. I use it like a small truck. I've always gotten a little shake when I have to slow down quickly at 60 mph & above, but they have never discovered why. I've run syn oil in it since the first change & haven't had any issues. I run it hard & it just smiles & says give me more. Wish they still made them."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 31,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"This car is a real value. Plenty of room for such a small package. Very easy to enter and exit the vehicle. Windhield is huge and visability is excellent. The only negative things I have found with this car is the road noise and the gas mileage. It is very dependable and a fun car to drive."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 70,000
overall rating 2 of 10rating detailsPros: "good crash safety rating, seats fold down"
Cons: "int. stains easy, third row=joke, cheap product"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"I bought this vehicle becuase it has a third row, ranked well in crash safety, and was reasonably priced--or so I thought. The third row is virtually useless to anyone over 4 feet tall but it does not have the latch system on that row making it difficult to use for car or booster seats (the only people that fit back there are children). And it is nearly impossible to get to the third row if you have a car seat in the mid-row thus I had to open the rear door to put my four year old niece in the third row. Since financing the vehicle (a litte over a year ago) the driver's seat belt lock has broken, the AC went out, and the window in the back seat came off its track. The gas mileage is mediocre at best and the vehicle does not handle as well as one would hope at high speeds (freeway) despite having had the alignment done. The only real redeaming factors are that the back seats fold down well and it probably uses less gas than a minivan...but not by much. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS VEHICLE. My best recommendation is to just go for the van if you need the space or go with another company. I had a Hyndai Sonata before this and loved it. Unfortunately they (Kia and Hyundai are the same company) did not use the same quality with this vehicle. I would love to sell this thing but still owe almost twice what it is worth (retail value dropped very quickly). Walk away while you still can!"
