"I have owned the 2008 kia rio5 for about two months now, and so far it has been a great car. The only problem i have right now with it is every time i release the brake it squeaks, but other than that it has been really good. I drive it to school and home in the city and only get about 23 mpg."
"Bought the car when I was unemployed and needed a car to get around. It gets decent gas mileage at 30-33 MPG. Overall it has been a good car with only one minor problem. The windshield wiper motor burned out a couple months after I got it but Kia replaced it and I haven't had any issues since. The only thing I don't really like is I can feel every bump in the road. This is to be expected from a low end car that weighs almost nothing."
"I bought my rio new in 08 my friend was a salesman at the time and I never bothered to test drive it. I picked a color an a manual transmission and ordered it. Fuel prices were on the rise and with my 78 mile round trip commute this was the only car othere than a suzuki that I could afford. The Rio has been a real jem with only one issue with a defective o2 sensor right at 10k miles. Kias warranty covered the work and now at 55k on her clock new tires were a must. I have decided that I will likely drive this little car until it dies. It is fun with the 5 speed. It is not a family road king but we have taken a few small trips in it and the kids have enough room in the back. I was a firm ford and chevy person but their prices were rediculous at the time and their quality was even worse. I hope they have learned a lesson. Point here Kia is reliable and inexpensive. I will be hard pressed to buy anything else..."
