Biggest Waste of Money

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 108,000

Pros: "Simple and cute for a teenage girl"

Cons: "money pit, not worth it"

"I bought this car with 91,000 miles with all the maintenance done including the timing belt change. I've owned it for a year and maintained it very well with cleaning and changing any parts that "might" go bad. In the year I've owned it I had to replace the transmission that just went out 8,000 miles after the warranty and then two weeks later after dumping $1,500 into it, the fuel system went out. Not only that but my insurance is higher due to this type of car and the parts for this car are double any other car I've owned. Plus, this car has no power what so ever and takes extra time just to pass slow cars on the highway."

Pros: "good car problem free (SO FAR)"

Cons: "Radio volume is to low as I like to rock out with"

"Bought it brand New in 2003 & dont maintain a thing until the IDIOT light tells me it needs something had timing belt replaced @ 100 K & just changed out upper rad hose (sprung a leak) & also the coil pack other than that nothing have only changed oil maybe 5 times no bad things do i have to say about this car"

Horrible Car!!!

Pros: "good on gas"

Cons: "the engine died at 67000 miles"

"I do NOT recommend buying this car!! I purchased it as a commuter car with only 30,000 miles on it and it was clean. No frills, no a/c, no cd player, no power locks or anything...just a straight up, most basic commuter car that came with nothing extra at all. Just something to drive from point A to point B. It lasted me three years and 37,000 miles more were put on it. The engine died at only 67000 miles. To replace the engine at $2000, it is not even worth it! The car itself is not even worth that much now! Especially without an a/c in it. I will NEVER buy a Kia again. My husband is a mechanic and we did all of the regular, expected maintenance on this piece of junk. One day it just decided to die on the side of the road, with no warning at all. The check engine light never came on. Do NOT buy this car. You have been warned."

"I've had so many problems with this vehicle. I've put more money into to it then its worth. I brought it only to get to school and back and it let me down horribly."

Most dependable car I have owned!

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 92,000

Pros: "Great price, fun to drive, cargo room, gas mileage"

Cons: "Slow transmission"

"Bought this car in 2005 with 22 miles on it...91,978 miles later the car is still going strong. Great on gas, comfortable ride, lots of cargo room. My only complaint is a bit of a slow "git up and go" but I have a bit of a lead foot , so this is probably not a bad thing."

"Only had 74,000 miles on 2002 Kia Rio and it just completely died on me while driving down highway. Such a shame. I will never buy another."
