About Kia Optima

Kia employed German designer Peter Schreyer (best known for the Audi TT) to oversee all of its designs. In the 2014 Optima, Mr. Schreyer has penned one of the most dynamic midsize sedans on the planet. Wisely, Kia backs the Optima's good looks with a choice of cutting-edge engine technologies, including a hybrid model, and has given its interior a thorough makeover. Costing no more than the average family sedan, the Optima outshines the competition both visually and in terms of optional equipment. Beyond its great fuel economy and unbeatable warranty, Kia offers such luxuries as a panoramic moonroof and heated and cooling front seats. Whether you seek the most basic LX or the top-of-the-line SX Limited, the Optima always delivers more than what its asking price suggests.

"I purchased a 2013 silver Optima EX on 9/25/12. This car is great! Stylish, good gas mileage, comfortable, fun to drive, etc. Reading the many positive reviews definitely influenced my decision to purchase this (my first Kia) so I decided to add my own review. Two comments regarding this vehicle: The car is very stylish but I wouldn't purchase one without the rearview camera. It is necessary to be sure the coast is clear because the rearend of the car sits so high. Secondly, it would be nice if the passenger seat could be adjusted. My wife says that it sits too low. I've owned many cars and I can honestly say that this Kia Optima is the "best bang for the buck" car I've ever owned. At first, I was very hesitant to buy a Kia but I can tell you, "this isn't your dad's Kia!". Kia has come a long way and I believe they are now a better value than either Honda or Toyota. Good luck with your quest."
