"do not buy if you don't like speed. I've had this car to 105 in Montana and still had tons of peddle to go. Extremely peppy, great handling terrific stereo system. The 6 cylinder system works great. I am original owner with 32687 miles. My only complaint is they could have used better skin material. Because parking lot people have scratched it a few times which is annoying. I love this little car."
"On the negative side - The paint has been chipping off (half gone from door handles) since 20,000 miles. Made them change hubcaps around 30,000 miles because of paint peeling. Parts started going bad after warranty ran out, but was almost maintenance free before then.
On the positive side - After 10 years, still a comfortable ride that has continuously maintained 27 to 28 MPG (once got 32mpg on long trip)."
"I loved my Kia!! I only had to sell it because everything kept breaking. My driver's side window kept jumping off the track and wouldn't roll up. Also, the timing belt was about to expire and I didn't want to pay to get a new one (If you don't get a new timing belt after 80,000 miles, the belt can break and your car will most likely be totaled from it). My air conditioning didn't work for 5+ years, and my auto repair shop said they couldn't figure out what the problem was, so they would have to investigate which would cost $400+. But other than that, my Kia was the best car in the world! Great factory-installed speakers. Got a new radio though because the quality of the factory installed radio wasn't very impressive.
The car did, however, drive VERY SMOOTH!!! It feels like you are floating. It was also VERY POWERFUL. I got a couple of speeding tickets..."
"Bought with 30k, now has 250k on original engine and original transmission. Cars dont last forever but this one is pretty close. Been burning oil for a while now. Have replaced most everything but how many others cars will go 250k and everything else still be original? Styling is a bit bland. But it drives nice and rides nice and is good on gas."
