For 2009, auxiliary audio input and USB jacks are added to the Amanti's audio system, while vehicles equipped with the Leather Package receive a larger in-dash display screen.
What if you could have all the luxury trappings of a $50,000 sedan in a stylish four-door costing half as much? That's the promise Kia's Amanti offers, albeit without the high resale value and premium-sedan status of the higher-priced choices. For those unconcerned by such trivialities, the Amanti delivers a smooth ride, decent handling, a huge rear seat and a competent V6 engine. Among the Amanti's long list of standard features are heated side mirrors, one-touch up/down power windows, an eight-way adjustable power driver's seat and a power sunroof. Compared to a Buick Lucerne, Lincoln MXZ and Chrysler 300, the Amanti comes up smelling like a rose, and with its standard 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, concerns about long-term reliability are put aside.

"I was skeptical about buying a Kia, but I did it anyway because I fell in love with the car. After owning it for 5 years, I still love it. I've owned Mercedes and other luxury cars in the past, and this one is better quality. I put a lot of miles on it but have had no problems with the quality of the car. I've never had to do anything to it other than replace tires and after catching a rock on the freeway I had to replace the a/c condenser but that was no fault of the manufacturing. This car has every bell and whistle, I still like the style of it, the inside looks just like a Mercedes with the burl wood but unlike the Mercedes the pieces have never fallen off. It was still under warranty when I bought it in '07 but I never had to take it in for anything. Buy a Kia, they are great cars for the money (I don't know about the lower-priced models but the top of the line models are first class.)"

"The Amanti is KIAs entry in to the luxury market and I can not understand why it did not sell. It is without a doubt the best and most reliable car I have ever owned. It drives and rides like a much bigger car. It gets great gas milage and is a wonderful travel car. The only problems I have had involved the steering wheel air bag. Once the connections were improved, that problem was solved."

"I call it my Faux Benz although people think I'm driving a Jag. Just as nice as a Benz and a lot less $$$. The ride compared to my friends benz was actually better and there is a lot of leg room front and back. The only thing I miss on this car is the auto door lock when you shift into gear."
