"I've only had mine for 2 months, but so far i love it. Awesome styling, the hardtop is terrific, 4wd is bomb. My only negative is the gas mileage. This thing is pretty thirsty, averaging about 17 mpg w/ the auto trans. For that mpg it should have a more powerful v6 such as the nissan frontiers 261 HP v6 that gets the same mpg. But overall very fun to drive, i love mine, i'd recommend it to anyone that wants a 4wd convertible, if u want fun in the sun, or just wanna hit the dunes, this is for u."
"Owning and driving a Jeep has been awesome. I really like the rag top because of the quick topless option. I am sure the hard top would be nice for highway trips to lessen the wind noise, but come on, it's a jeep! Might as well by a Cherokee if you want quiet air conditioned luxury. Anyway, it's is a GOOD vehicle. Fun, reliable, and right at home on the worst of back roads. The only small beef I have is the gas mileage is only about 18 mpg (a little better on highway trips), but I knew that when I bought it."
"I used to own a 2 door Wrangler and sold it years ago - I have never been happy with any vehicle since - I got an '07 finally! 4-door - I won't give it up - it is not the 'luxury' quiet ride - but it is the best performing vehicle and I am in love with it - handles great and will take me anywhere I ever need to go - it's a tough ride!!!!!"
"Use to own two BMWs but got tired of the expensive payments. The Jeep is inexpensive and a blast to drive. Fun and economical while looking cool and fun at the same time. Top is easy to take off and put up. Go out and buy one!"
"I bought the new JK in march 07. 32k miles. no problems. fun to drive. wranglers aren't for everyone. if you like quiet and luxury, this isn't the vehicle. its loud and has little jeep quirks, but its so much fun to drive on and off road. I highly doubt there is a better 4wd vehicle for ALL conditions. i never realized how boring my honda was. i wish i had bought a wrangler earlier. i will never not own a wrangler again."
"This is great, We have a 92' and I have been saying for years I wish they would come out with a 4 door. Love it. There is only one thing the space for your foot on the gas pedel is a little cramped. Other than that I am very happy. THANKS!!"
"I always wanted a Jeep so when I retired early in 2003 I bought a new "Tomb Raider" edition of the Rubicon. It was a fun ride for 6 years and only 10,000 on-road miles. I just traded for a 4 door Wrangler X unlimited and the ride difference is absolutely astounding, much better, still Trail Rated and I hardly ever go off road anyway, but it's ready to go those few times I have to. The Rubicon was for the true off road, go anywhere driver but the 2 door had a hip-hoppity highway ride and had too aggressive tires on it.. This one is 100% more fun to drive everyday. I am a Jeep guy and my son just bought his 2 door new one last week. Mine is Detonator Yellow (can't lose it in a parking lot) while he picked Jeep Green. I also went from automatic to 6 speed manual, a lot more fun!"
"All the wranglers rock and can out perform on the trails better than most, but this rubicon is a friggin stud! this sucker takes ice plant hills on the dunes sideways without getting squirrelly and cresting the hill roaring and thumping it's chest. Stock!! The lifted long bed trucks sank then backed out...Rockin Ruby Baby!!"
"I OWN TWO 08 WRANGLERS, BOTH HARDTOPS. ONLY COMPAINTS ARE THE LACK OF POWER GOING UP MOUNTAINS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND WIND NOISE AROUND THE WINDSHIELD. OTHER THAN THAT, GREAT VEHICLES. A LOT OF FUN TO DRIVE. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE OVER THE CJ THAT I USED TO OWN."
"I bought this vehicle brand new in Oct when they first came out and have been in love w/ it ever since. Its great if you like the warm weather covertible thing and is awesome for camping! Performance is the only thing a stock jeep lacks, nothing an after market turbo cant fix! It is a money pit though, buy accesories can be addictive and there are so many cool things you can do to this vehicle. It is still pretty tough stock though, I pulled a full size chevy pick up out w/ my jeep stock so it holds its own. I can not stress it engough though, I love my jeep, and now I am a jeep girl for live!"
"Bought this vehicle 2 years ago with the 2dr Sahara package. It has been a great, great overall vehicle and has been unbelievably useful in the time we've had it. We've taken it snowboarding in the mountains, out to the sand dunes on the beach, and everywhere in-between. It even is a handy grocery getter for my wife. With the hard-top off, this is an enviable look-at-me off-road convertible that has tons of attitude and other than the gas-mileage (16-18 mpg), I whole-heartedly recommend this vehicle for any fun & sun loving adventurer."
"I love my wrangler. It does have a very stiff suspension, but even so, it is pretty smooth. You have to enjoy an "off-road" vehicle though. I traded in my 2004 Grand Cherokee for my 2008 Wrangler and waited 14 weeks for my factory order to arrive and it was worth every minute I waited."
"I traded an 07 xterra 4x4 for an X with the S package.... it is so much more capable offroading and alot more fun to drive... top down, doors off and i just love it.... the xterra was nice(miss the 4.0)but was bulky and heavy... and was not fun to drive like the jeep is..... this is my first jeep and i must say... it's addicting!!! soft top is noisey but i ordered a hard top for it... there are more aftermarket parts for this thing it makes my head spin!!! anyways i see why jeep wrangler owners put so much time and $$$ into these.... i gave up creature comforts for FUN!!! enjoy life now... before it's too late... i'm so glad i switched"
"wanted the jeep most of my life, sure glad we waited for the JK, the improvements on the suspension alone make this pleasant to drive compared to the kidney-jarring days of old. The coil over shock has much greater articulation than leaf spring design. Can't wait to start adding toys and accessories.
Recommend this car to friends, but Canadians are still paying too much compared to the US, over $30,000 here for the unlimited X...five to six thou too much.
If Chrysler goes under, how does that affect warranty issues? Does the successor pick up where Chrysler left off?"
