Given the very big changes made in 2011, this is a year of tweaking a "still new" redesign. V6 models receive an electrohydraulic power steering system, while the V8's automatic transmission now provides six speeds when shifted in manual mode. And the HEMI-equipped SRT8 is revived, with 6.4 liters and 470 horsepower of urge.
Big changes for 2011 on the Jeep Grand Cherokee include improved interior space, an all-new V6 engine, an updated V8 engine and enhanced four-wheel drive systems. Jeep has also added a host of optional features not previously seen on the Grand Cherokee, including adaptive cruise control, a power rear lift gate and a blind-spot warning system.
The Grand Cherokee is legendary for its rugged off-road ability, sensible size and car-like ride and interior. While most SUVs have grown to near-gargantuan proportions, the Grand Cherokee remains true to the original model. Engine choices, however, have grown larger and include a fuel-efficient V6, a powerful HEMI V8 and, new for 2007, a torque-happy turbodiesel, a first for the Grand Cherokee line. The introduction of the 3.0-liter Common Rail Diesel is another benefit resulting from the merger between Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz. Jeep also offers a choice of three four-wheel-drive systems, ranging from a basic shift-on-the-fly high/low transfer case to a permanently-engaged system capable of sending power to whichever wheel has traction.

"It's very comfortable with the leather seats and it drives like you are in a luxury car. The back seat reclines and the trunk is big enough that it could still fit anything that you needed it to."

"This is a great SUV. Makes it through the snow like it is dry weather! My first Jeep and probably will not be my last."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 31,000
overall rating 4 of 5rating detailsPros: "great price, decent gas milage, lots of room"
Cons: "pinch too tall, some GPS funtions"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I have the Limited V6, 4x4. This has been a solid performer so far. Only one time back for a computer upgrade. Great ride, decent gas mileage and performance (my other Grand was a V8) and I love the auto rear tailgate...don't like not being able to do some of the functions of the GPS while the car is moving. Just a bit tall for my wife, but not a deal breaker. Head and shoulders above the previous models for reliability and quality and not bad to look at either!"
