Pros: "A great vehicle to drive."

Cons: "Could be a little bit better on gas millage."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This Jeep is 4.7 V8 all wheel drive flex fuel. It is an excellent vehicle to have during the winter months. With over 198,000 mile and still purrs like a champ. Gas millage not so good. The V6 gets better millage but is prone to more repairs according to people I talk with that owns the V6. If you don't mind the 15-17 mile per gallon, then you will love this vehicle. No major repair except for the water pump. Just the basic maintenance: brakes, oil change, tune up,tires, wiper blades etc."

Pros: "Lots of nice features, nice size and a V8 engine"

Cons: "Unreliable and clunky drive train. Disappointing."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 4

"Bought my Jeep with 38,000 miles on it. It looked great. I like the size, handling, features, and V8 engine with very reasonable gas mileage. On the other hand the drive train, especially the transmission, is poorly designed and unreliable. Mine stuck in fourth gear during a trip 300 miles from home. Luckily, I tried disconnecting the battery hoping some computer would reset itself, and it worked. It hasn't happened again,... yet. I have had other transmission problems. With the help of the Chrysler mechanic, I now understand it to be the transmission up shifting to fifth gear or to partial lock-up (the mechanic told me) by the time I get to 35 MPH. That is too soon for the engine which begins to struggle. It would be no problem if the transmission would down shift, but that doesn't happen. I am told it's working as designed. The bottom line is this otherwise very likeable vehicle, leaves me concerned about when the transmission is going to fail completely. To me there is no excuse for this. I won't buy another Chrysler product."

"The truck has 85%+ tread on tires , about a year old, battery replaced last jan. , new brakes/ all rotors and new front calipers. It has a exhaust leak at the gasket on the engine , the rear wiper runs all the time so I unplugged it and rear glass will open unattended . Has minor scratches"

Pros: "V8, Fun to Drive!, 4WD, Off-Road, Tank, JEEP!"

Cons: "Only have one"

Bæ a little dirty

"Yes, it's a Jeep! What's not to love about a Jeep? What fun is a daily driver if you can't hit the trial, and get a little dirty? Snow? Psht, No problem! V8? YES! Yeah the gas tack drops fairly quick, but I have fun doing it EVERY TIME! I love my WK. I wouldn't trade it for anything. V8, wont be disappointed! -OlllllllO-"

Pros: "rides well, you have JEEP on the hood :)"

Cons: "You have JEEP on the hood :(- motor is unreliable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 3

"This was my fourth and last Jeep. This one is the 4.7l all wheel drive. Rides well. Horrid fuel mileage-my fault. I knew this when I bought it. Once the 4.7 hits 110,000 or so, start shucking out the dough. My list goes on and on. I am here at KBB because I want to know the value so I can dump it and get something else while it is running at the moment. The repairs never seem to end. I am tired of researching my latest Grand Cherokee problem to read 'oh yea, that is a common problem with those..about $XXX.XX to repair. very labor intensive' My earlier Jeeps(Cherokee Sport, Wrangler, and a GC Laredo) were solid. I put so many miles on them. 200K plus miles on the Cherokee Sport. Hey Chrysler, go back to basics and make a reliable automobile."
