"This is our second overland... we are in love. Lots of power with the hemi...don"t care about the gas mileage..don"t drive much. Such a improvement over the 2004 overland, rides better , handles better, much nicer and refined interior. Found ours used with 4300 miles and purchsed for 28900.00 at dealership. Market is soft they will deal."
"of all the 4x4's that I have owned in my 33 years of driving this is the BEST in snow that I have ever had the pleasure to park in my garage! Im more than impressed with the mileage that I get both intown and on the highway. way better than my little 4x4 pickup ever was. Now if only JEEP would make a midsize 4x4 pickup... I'd be a happy jeeper...."
"Reliable, comfortable and great styling. Powerful and a joy to drive. Took it off road and had no problems in mud, hills, water, anything. Best SUV I've owned, perfect for any type of weather. Might be a little much on the high side and a little under rated, but if you buy one used you'll be saving a bundle. Be sure to get one with a V-8.""
"I have the 2005 Grand Cherokee with the V8 HEMI. Overall, I am very happy with the vehicle. The HEMI sure packs a powerful punch. The handling is veryy smooth...better than I expected from a Jeep. The best part is that I have not had any major issues with the vehicle.
A couple of downsides are gas mileage (about 14 MGP on average), and very little headroom. I'm 5'10" and the top of my head brushes the ceiling when I sit straight up."
"Nice ride for a 4x4. Interior styling is a bit boring if you don't get any of the extras like the navigation system and auto climate control. 3.7L engine is a little sluggish but has enough power for day to day driving. I don't really recommend the 3.7L for the mountains… I suggest the V8 for you mountaineers! Gear changing if left in drive is excessive on steep mountain roads but this goes with any automatic vehicle. :o) There are a few rattles, but none to really complain about... it's a 4x4. Fuel mileage is absolutely terrible! The digital MPG gauge averages 16.5 MPG and has not gotten better over time as I had thought it would. The sun visors could use an extendable visor. Huge blind spot on drivers side when cornering around left-hand turns between the front/passenger window sections. When test driving make sure to take a left-hand turn and you will see what I mean. Overall rating of 4 out of 5, it is a nice looking vehicle and practical. If you got some extra money to dump into the Grand Cherokee buy the V8!"
"I have only had my 2007 Cherokee 5 months and I do not like it. I have had it in the shop almost once a month for different issues. Not to mention, i just had a bad accident in the Jeep in which I rear-ended someone doing 60 MPH and my airbags DID NOT deploy. I will NEVER buy another Jeep again!"
"great style, tire monitors come in handy with teenage using it, front windhield hard to get use to smaller than I am use to. 28,000 miles without an mechanical problem. gas mileage 15 in town, 21 highway V8"
"I never had any problems with the first one that I had for five years, so I bought another one. I've had this one for two years now, and I am convinced this is the best car for me. Jeep service at the dealers: they really take care of you."
