"I have 99 grand cher.limited for 4 years and I had nothing but problems.Rotors, fan, speakers, weird noise in rear axle, all air conditioning systen( $ 1.600) and so on.Nice vehicle but quality opposite of toyota."
"ive owned my 2000 grand cherokee limited for three years. no real complaints. i do all my own work on it, some replacement parts can be pretty pricy. with a v-8, the engine area can be cramped. overall, it is a good work horse."
"I'm getting rid of it, will go foreign. Too much shop time for brakes, not knowledgeable people at dealer, had to have things fixed that had been fixed before. Love the comfort, hate the shop time, I'm getting a foreign suv."
"So far at 59,000 miles, my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo has been an exceptionally reliable vehicle, with only one repair that was covered by the powertrain warranty. Excellent performer on and off road."
"I've had very few problems with my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I recently got new tires for it and now it's even better (the high pitched whine went away on the highway). Obviously I wish it got better mileage, but that's fine. I plan to drive my Jeep until it dies. The only other vehicle I'd want at this point is the Lexus 400h. Otherwise, I'll probably just get another Jeep."
"This is my second Jeep Grand Cherokee (first was an '01 Laredo, now own an '04 Limited - both bought gently used) - I sold the first one to my brother after driving it 30K trouble-free miles in 18 months. Great vehicle for long highway trips - the 4.7 V8 has plenty of power and good fuel mileage (over 20 mpg highway) for a 2 ton vehicle. Originally bought primarily for winter use, it gets used all year 'round - everyone's favorite ride in our house. Look around - there's a reason that you see so many on the road!"
"I've owned my "04 Jeep for 2 1/2 years and it has been pretty good to me. I have read many of the reviews and had many of the same problems but nothing too major or expensive. Biggest issue would be the window regulators in both front windows breaking which can be expensive to repair. Excellent in any weather conditions and great handling and very comfortable to drive. I'm ready for a new car and still trying to figure out if I want another Cherokee. I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, midsize SUV."
