I own this car - My approximate mileage is 146,697

Pros: "Dependable, sporty, and fun to drive."

Cons: "Door controls act up"

"I have had this Jeep several years, I love the way it drives, and handles, and good on fuel too. I have approx 110,000 miles I have put on this, and it is still going. Had some problems with the power window controls, but feel that was minor. Two of my adult children have been in a wreck with it, but just fixed the body work, and off it went again.I am a senior female, one of my favorite vehicles I have ever owned. Sporty, sturdy, and your high enough to see out in front of you when your driving. I have a friend who had one of these, sold it with well over 200,000 miles on it,and still just like new."

best vehicle I've owned

Pros: "great engine capable 4 wheel drive"

Cons: "none"

"I bought my jeep with 57,000 miles on it never left me on the side of the road and plenty of drive on road trips. now I have 109,000 miles in 5yrs no issue at all and its awesome joy to even own this great vehicle."

Solid and and sharp

"I had this car since 2001- now 2013 so close to 12yrs short a few months.So far very reliable, I have taken decent care of the truck though it takes a fair amount of abuse. I put in 160K miles so far. Few issues which I beleive Chrysler or whoever mannufactures them currently should/must have fixed them on the newer ones 1. Brakes started acting up at around 140K. 2.Rear driverside light has had issue since time I bought the car and warrant run out- I am on the 3rd replacement now. 3.I have to replace the operating system on all four windows at least once."

Great car for parts or if you work on cars

Pros: "Car still runs, expensive parts that can be used"

Cons: "Needs work, air and heat do not work."

"Selling 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited-V6 Jeep. This jeep needs a lot of work, but also has had a lot of work done on it. I'm thinking this Jeep is more for someone who would rather have the parts. Newer/rebuild Jasper engine, April 2009,, mileage was 167,000 at that time. also replaced, 2009- engine thermostat, champion spark plugs, water pump, harmonic balance, oil pressure sender, vent -crank dir. Oct. 2011, brake pad, brake caliper, brake rotor, outer 2 tie rods, 2/1/2011 synchronizer mot, camshaft position sensor. Newer battery, 4-5 months old. Wrangler SR-A Good Year spare tire. Since 2009, I have invested an additional $5000 into this car. I have all of the receipts. 4 other tires are Trail Mark. Car still runs, but needs quite a bit of work. This jeep is really for someone that works on cars, or can use these expensive car parts for resale or if you have a shop and have a client that needs this type of engine etc. The jeep is fully loaded, sun roof- heated seats, 10-CD exchange, programmable seats, etc. Best offer. Jeep is in Oregon, IL approx. 1 1/2 hrs from Oak Brook. Or 45 min. from Geneva / St. Charles area."

"Sold My 2001 Caddy for a Jeep, as my Daughter has a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, (286k miles)- which I love to drive, but when I drove the Jeep Grand Cherokee its like driving a Caddy on a mountain - rides so... smooth for an suv - Great Bullet Proof - strong inline 6Cyl. 4.0 liter Engine - now I know why there's so many of these vehicles on the road..!"

"i have always driven Jeeps. the reliability is excellent. my 2004 was the last year for the exterior appearance and that is why i do not want to sell it. it is in mint condition. not even a scratch on it. love my jeep ! ! ! inside looks like new also."
