The 2011 Jaguar XJ is so thoroughly new that it's unrecognizable as a descendant of the previous generation - inside, outside and underneath.
Jaguar's largest and most luxurious sedan, the XJ, is a rolling showcase touting the company's latest achievements in engineering, technology and luxury. Wrapped in a lightweight all-aluminum body, the XJ is surprisingly agile for its size, yet remarkably solid. Offered in a variety of trims, including two stretched wheelbase versions and the legendary performance cat, the XJR, the XJ is without question the finest Jaguar product to date. Faced with radically new designs emerging from Audi, BMW and Lexus, Jaguar's strategy to stick with its traditional styling may not have been a wise decision. Jaguar sales are not as robust as hoped, meaning it may be possible to wrangle a good deal on a new XJ.

"This is one of the best cars I have ever owned. Previously owned a MBZ 500SEC and this is easily as nice, but more luxurious and smoother riding. The repairs are minimal. Last year, my 6th year of ownership, I didn't spend a dime! I put 13,500 annually on the car."

"I own a Super V8 (top of the line XJ) and am amazed at it's beauty and performance. The exterior is simply gorgeous. People break their necks as it passes by. The interior is so sumptious and with the rear entertainment system just adds a flare few other cars possess. This car drips with luxury and richness. For being a big cat this vehicle has stupid speed! Press the pedal and the Super V8 instantly flies to 120mph in a heartbeat. I'm fortunate I have not been pulled over yet. The only drawback is that it takes premium gas and it only gets 15mpg city which is where I drive it most. However, I absolutely love this car."
