Pros: "Great fun to drive"

Cons: "cup holder is broken"

"This car has been rated by a dealer mechanic as having one of the best engines made by Jaguar . Its transmission and drive train very dependable. Mechanics have stated it has a longer life than a human being. I bought the car at 60000 miles and have owned the car for 15 years. It is a jewel. The car has some minor scratches and dents."

A really beautiful and classic car!

Pros: "Fun to drive"

Cons: "Lacks all the tech of modern cars"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"This car still turns heads. It's fun to drive (especially with the top down on a sunny day or warm evening). Upkeep belies the Jag reputation but, after 20 years and 125K miles there are things that have needed repair. AC, Small electrical repairs, nothing major. Time for a new ragtop which isn't cheap. Still, if you can find one that's been loved and kept up, this is a car you can always be proud to show up with and have fun driving. One thing, it isn't really designed for taller drivers."

1995 Jaguar Vanden Plas -- California owned

"Second owner of a '95 VDP with 84,000 miles. Original owner was a well-known set designer for movie studios, kept it garaged and dealer maintained. Virtually perfect in nearly every manner: exterior, interior and drive train. This car still turns heads and often gets a "thumbs-up" from other motorists. It's pleasing when I valet it and come back an hour later to see they've not garaged it, instead left it curbside in a driveway to show it off. I'm 67 years old and think this will be the last motorcar I will ever own. If my Estate can afford it, I plan to be buried in it."

Cons: "Not great gas mileage, expensive to repair."

"I come from a long line of Jag owners and have owned a few myself. I bought this 1997 Jaguar VDP in 2001 with around 19k on it. This is by far the best Jaguar out there. The 6 cyl engine and tranny are bullet proof. The long wheel base and weight (4000lbs) give it an amazing ride. So comfortable to drive and for an 18 year old car. . .it still turns heads."

Pros: "Everything - it's a work of art inside and outside"

Cons: "Poor leg room and cup holder is poorly designed"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Overall I have very few bad things to say about this vehicle. I recently purchased this car from a relative, who purchased it in 2003 with just over 68,000 miles on it and put about 2,000 miles on it in 13 years! The interior and exterior of this car are simply beautiful. Although the 6 CD changer is in the trunk, I found it created no problem when driving it across country. The paint job and exterior of the car are in perfect condition, with no rust and a high quality paint job that will last for decades. My only complaint is that I'm tall with long legs, and this car is not made for long legged people. Otherwise, it's a thing of beauty and so well made it will last for another few decades."

Pros: "Looks great, drives better than a 328 BMW"

Cons: "poor gas mileage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"Drives like a dream. Is a solid heavy car. It has a Ford engine and still goes 0-60 in 20 seconds. (Ford owned Jaguar in 1996)The interior is in beautiful shape. It's been repainted once. I'm a little old lady in tennis shoes and I've owned the car for 13 years. I'm the second owner. It has been well maintained. Has all new tires. An amazing price for the quality. It's only negative is it gets only 15-16 miles to the gallon. It's Jaguar silver/blue."
