Cons: "Ford built mine. Paint job is the worse lasting."

"While ford is a great American Car company, they are notorious for using cheap parts... things break and die far more often than any other vehicle I've owned...I just won't buy a 'Ford' (with the exception of a Mustang...they got that nearly right.).
Only one repair since I've owned it. Fixed it myself and cost me less than $100.00... so that makes me happy.
CD player quit working year three... interior cloth became unglued (prob from riding with the windows down. Wood grain panel cracked from the heat?!? Steering wheel had to be tightened year five.
Front windshield is expensive and cracks easily. Battery is about $150.00 to replace, 3 years there.
Tires wear easy... tried all brands/types but I think the Good year GTX is doing better than most others.
Paint faded 5 years faster than my (ungaraged) Pontiac Firebird - under the same Arizona sun... and it was garaged daily.
Not a great investment...go with a Lexus."
"This car is great. Had no issues and mileage is very very good at avg 23mpg. I drive mostly highway but that is combined. Downside, it burns through tires and batteries. Both are cheap to replace. It's a heavy car, so you feel safe. Doors are not so heavy. Trunk is large. Driven for 8 years.
No resale value so I'm keeping it.
Car does not look like every other car out there, so it is easy to find."
