Pros: "Love to open the sunroof for some run."

"This car fit me perfectly. Love the design and dependability. Good quality car. Great gas mileage. I got as much as 30 mpg on my trip to AZ. I've had this car almost 10 years and I can't see me not getting another quality car."

Pros: "Great Handling, comfortable, fun to drive"

Cons: "costly to maintain"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I bought my Jaguar new in 2002 and drove it for 12 years. Mechanically the only major problem I encountered was having to change the transaxle at 81,000 miles. This car was by far the best car I have ever driven in the snow. The quality of the car was as expected (I have owned Jaguars in the past and am aware of their improving quality since Ford purchased them) From the standpoint of comfort and amenities, this early 2000 car (Mid 30K) had a lot of little things that made it stand out. Besides being beautifully styled, it had automatic temperature control, single touch windows, rain sensing windshield wipers, xenon headlamps, great handling, a 5 speed transmission. Self dimming rear view mirror and all wheel drive. I am sorry to see this car get old and am not excited to be rid of it. I intend to buy Jaguars in the future."

Pros: "Great car!"

Cons: "Not made anymore...."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Getting ready for another car, but quick notes about this Jag: It is about to turn over 200k; I have replaced front brake discs, battery, one belt pulley, mass air flow valve 2x, three sets of tires, serviced regularly. I have been driving it for almost ten years. Needs an O2 sensor and a/c work at this point, but the vehicle has served me well and I would definitely purchase another Jaguar."

Pros: "Looks (interior, exterior)"

Cons: "Materials used to build it"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 3

"I was attracted to this vehicle because of it elegant interior design and body looks. I bought it as a Certified-Pre-Owned vehicle at a reasonable price. The fact that it was a Jaguar was also a factor in my decision. After owning this car for 10 years, I'm somewhat disappointed. It appears to be made of cheap materials as over the years some of its interior and paint have deteriorated at a faster pace than any other car I've ever owned. Being a Jaguar, I expected it to be better built."

"Still looks beautiful, I will keep it till I die. Wish they still made the XType, excellent drive in snow or ice. Best brake I ever saw in any car."

Pros: "Fun to drive. Quiet."

Cons: "Only one cup holder?"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Bought it used at one year old ~13K. Has been an excellent car. Awesome in the snow. Not garaged since 2004. Runs great. Replaced 4 door speakers. Maintenance only required oil changes and tires. Wish Jaguar still made them. I'd buy another......"
