"Overall the car has been very nice. My wife drives it and really likes the Jag mystic and the cat hood orniment. I have been a bit disappointed with the performace though. While it has worked very well, it has not delivered the performance I expected from Jaguar."

Pros: "Great value"

Cons: "Does not handle like a sports car - it's a tank."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"After 160,000 miles (owned since new) it has required nothing other than brakes and tires and other normal wear items. It runs great and other than the rear window defroster failing, nothing has broken. The AWD works great. It climbs through New England snow like a tracked vehicle. It is a bit ponderous taking exit ramps at sports car speeds although I've never outfitted it with sticky rubber. Still, it would never handle like a real fun back road car. Never the less it has been a great family sedan and everyone looks at it like it's a $60K car."

Great vehicle for the price

Pros: "good price, great handling/fun to drive,"

Cons: "ok on gas(25mpg); rough ride, little leg room"

"Purchased car in PA 3 years ago with 95K miles on it. 2.5 v6 with manual trans. I installed new brakes when I bought it, and have changed the oil on regular intervals. Other than the headliner and A-pillar liners coming loose, I have had NO issues with this car. AWD works great, still shifts fine, paint looks good, etc. And I have 161K miles on it, and it still runs like the day I bought it. Good vehicle, made under the Ford ownership years. Only selling because I need a bigger vehicle. Not a lot of leg room in front or rear. But if you need a mid size vehicle, full time AWD, and a decent running car(it does not have the softer suspension that most Jags are known for. This is more of a sport suspension), I wouldn't hesitate to look at this, especially with the 5spd manual."

"overall one of the best cars I have owned. Handel's well in all weather conditions. Purchased the car in Pa used in 2009 with 22,000 miles, Only repairs were regular maintenance, ie. battery, brakes and new tires. loved everything about this car except the back seats. Had what I thought was a minor accident and the insurance company claims the parts are to exsp. rest in peace"

Pros: "AWD and responsive"

Cons: "No heated seats or electric folding mirrors"

"Never experienced any fluid leaks beyond a a cracked antifreeze reservoir which occurred during very extreme conditions. The reservoir was inexpensive to replace as I was able to DIYS. The car handles extremely well and is very responsive to the driver. When you mash the pedal you get immediate feedback from the engine. Maybe I got lucky but I don't understand why this car would have gotten negative reviews, although it does make a whining sound when cold. The sound disapates once the car warms. I love driving it through mountain roads in snowy conditions. Never got stuck!"

"I bought this car for around 3 grand, unlike most other people it seems, my x type actually had a cd player, in addition to the touch screen, and you could choose to listen to songs you had in a SD card, this car can be fast if you want it to, not the best mileage, but still a good car"
