"55k miles oil has been put into the engine every 3000 miles of its existence. Only had 1 previous owner besides me and she had no wrecks and all carfax statements are oil changes or tune ups. I did have a tire replaced due to my front left wheel hitting a small piece of concrete on the highway which blew my front left tire. All repairs have been made and I also changed the oil and had a new battery installed. I haveaperwork to prove all. The spare tire was used in the process. This car overall has a flawless engine never been worked on or had problems. The interior has a couple of small issues. There is a small cigarette burn in the drivers seat and the car needs to be detailed. It is clean just not detailed. I bought this car a little over a year ago for $7900 while I was still in the military and it has served more than my expectations. I need some money for school and was going to ask 6700 for this car but to cover the detail, spare tire, and leather repair it can be yours for 6400 I will take 6200 in cash but this price is non negotiable as you will not find this car anywhere else at this condition and price. Kelley blue book states this car to be worth 4900 dollars which is a flaw in their system. Anyone who were to sell this car under 5000 dollars at this condition is an idiot"
"This is my third jaguar and Kept this the longest. Very reliable and easy maintenance. Insurance is very reasonable. AC works well in the las Vegas heat.
Beautiful, still a head turner for an older car. Very smooth drive, don't feel the bumps, quiet, great handling."
"Simply put this car is a beast. Quick and power, yet easy to driver and smooth and best of all RARE. If can find a STR in good condition buy it, don't let the Nay sayer scare you. If it has taken care it is simply an amazing car to own and no less reliable then you comparable BMW, Benz, Audi or Lexus. I know as i have own at least one of all of them.
Maintenance is no more costly then the others. Even more affordable if you can do most of the maintenance yourself."
Pros: "Great value at the $8000 that I paid for it!"
Cons: "None thus far!"

"Purchased just a few months ago, and thus far has been one of the best investments in a vehicle that I have ever made.
Fun to drive; awesome and lasting interior and exterior design; oh, and did I say fun to drive. Truly awesome and exceptional vehicle!"
"This is the worst car I have ever owned and I’m 72 and have owned a lot! I have also had Jaguars, most notably the E-type series three, V12. Now that was a car!
This load of junk was built when Ford owned Jaguar, and it has been a constant source of breakdowns, failures, and returns to the shop.
Luckily I have been able to fix a lot of things myself. If not it would have cost three times what I paid when new.
The funniest thing was when the head liner fell down. not just a bit of it, but the whole thing fell on to the seats in one lump. The car was still under warranty, but the dealer said the head liner came under, “wear and tear”, like seats and was not covered. I told the sales manager I didn’t sit on the ceiling and made a stink in the showroom, but I never got anywhere. It cost $600 for a new liner and I wrote to the factory in Coventry, UK, but never had a reply.
I will never touch another Jag, ever."
Cons: "Parts/repairs can be more costly than other cars."

"I bought this car on a private-party sale with just about 100k miles, and have driven it another 94k miles over the last four years. I bought it mostly because I always wanted a Jag and loved the S-type's styling... I never expected to be so pleasantly surprised. I've got the V6 with 6-speed auto transmission. Plenty of power, nimble, responsive, and very comfortable. I also get surprisingly good fuel economy averaging about 26-27mpg (with 30+on long highway trips).
You can pick up a used Jag cheaper than a used Honda, but the downside is that repairs can be expensive and there's not a lot of shops that can handle Specialty Jag service. I've needed very little maintenance/repair work and fortunately can do most of it myself. That might be a consideration if you're thinking of buying one."
