I own this car - My approximate mileage is 138,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "very much fun to drive, practical, lo price"
Cons: "none"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"Reliability has been outstanding for me, even though I know other owners with horror stories. Power and handling are exceptionally good. Of course, I wish it got better gas mileage. Generally about 20 mpg although freeway mileage w/ac on and using cruise control for steady speed often approaches 30 mpg. I'd recommend this car to others, BUT - many other owners have had problems. I have all the recommended preventive maint done (by my mechanics, not the dealers). Maybe that's the difference, or maybe I lucked out and got one made on Wednesday!"

"I recently got my Rodeo. So far I love it. It has only had some minor maintenance to take care of. Overall a really good SUV! Janie"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 225,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Roomy, fun, sporty, simple, built to last"
Cons: "Rides like a tank"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I've had my Rodeo for almost a decade and put more than 150,000 miles on it, and other than (meticulous) maintenance, it hasn't had much of anything go wrong. The ride isn't cloudlike, but it's not supposed to be. The push button 4wd is great. Mileage at this point is below 20 (17-18), but about half of that is town driving. 225,000 and still going strong, so I've got no complaints."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 125,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Reliable, low-cost, still-stylish, peppy SUV"
Cons: "Guzzles in the city, some road noise"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"It does much better than 19 mpg on the highway at 70mph or less (more like 22-23 mpg), but city driving is awful at around 11 mpg or so. This SUV is also much faster than you'd think because the SUV dry weight is only 4200 lbs and the engine pops out 205hp/215torque and is very responsive and fast above 3000 rpm. Considering it's only lost 10 cents/mile driven since I've owned it (11k bought used and now worth 3.4k) and is currently loosing only 2.5 cents/mile, it's an excellent value. It's only been in the shop for tires, oil changes, an O2 sensor that went out ($200) and an egr valve ($250). It's built to last, and still looks somewhat modern and stylish. They quit producing this car 7 years ago and there are still a ton of them on the road for a reason."
