The 2007 G35 Coupe carries on without the styling upgrades made to its stablemate, the G35 Sedan. Far from dated, the Coupe's sleek styling, intelligently appointed interior and sizzling performance attributes seem at odds with its ridiculously low sticker price, which makes it a thorn in the side of long-time rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Powered by a rev-happy V6 engine and driven by its rear wheels, the G35 Coupe is endowed with the performance attributes so important to enthusiast drivers, yet also has the styling and sophistication to impress those who appreciate the finer things in life. Simply put, the G35 Coupe represents a masterful blend of beauty and brawn, with a hefty dose of reliability and strong resale value tossed in for good measure.
If you like traditional rear-wheel-drive performance coupes with all the luxury trappings of a premium sedan, you'll love the G35. Its long hood, short deck and low-to-the-ground stance are ideal for enthusiastic driving.
If you're a tall driver, you'll find the G35 Coupe to be a tight fit, even with the driver's seat at its lowest position. Some will lament the lack of a V8 option, but only those who have not experienced the G35's V6.
A push-button starter is made standard (not available on models with the manual transmission), as are automatic on/off headlamps.
Driving Impressions Thanks to the G35's standard traction control and excellent brakes, the rear-wheel-drive coupe provides outstanding stability in all driving conditions. The steering may feel a little heavy, but its responsiveness...
to the driver's commands is never in question. The ride is firm and direct, but only when the G35 is equipped with the optional 19-inch wheels and upgraded Sport-Tuned suspension might some people consider it to be on the rougher side.Pop-Up LCD Navigation
The clever pop-up LCD navigation screen keeps the navigation controls separate from the audio controls.
High Center Console
The high center console allows you to rest your arm perfectly in line with the six-speed manual.
Interior
Although it lacks the more modern interior of the new G35 Sedan, the execution of the G35 Coupe's interior is still rated as excellent. It is true that some materials have a less-than-luxurious feel, and the power seat controls remain inconveniently placed atop the lower seat cushion. As we mentioned, headroom is a challenge because of the tapered roofline, but the seating is still first-rate. Another nice interior touch is the adjustable pod that houses the instrument gaugesit moves up and down with the tilt wheel.
Exterior
The G35's raked rear end may mean minimal headroom for rear passengers, but it is a positive in the looks and aerodynamics departments. Cargo space is on the small side, but the wide trunk opening, coupled with a deck lid that can open at a 90-degree angle, makes it easy to load large or bulky objects. The big 18-inch alloy wheels look just right on this car, and they actually deliver a fairly comfortable ride.
The G35 Coupe comes with a 275-horsepower V6 (293 horsepower with the six-speed manual), five-speed automatic with manual mode, automatic air conditioning, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS), illuminated entry with remote, bi-xenon headlamps, dual heated power mirrors, AM/FM stereo with MP3-compatible six-disc CD changer, side-curtain airbags, front side-impact airbags, leather trimmed eight-way driver and four-way passenger power and heated seats, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel with touch controls, tire pressure monitor, 17-inch alloy wheels and power windows.
Options include a six-speed manual transmission, Bose audio, power glass moonroof, onboard navigation, 18- and 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, limited-slip rear axle, Rear Active Steer Package and SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
The G35 offers only one engine choice, but it's one beautiful piece of machinery and without question is one of the best V6 engines on the planet. You'll marvel at the amazing power, and perhaps even more so at the impressive fuel economy.
3.5-liter V6

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 64,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Fun to drive, sleek, smooth handling, sound system"
Cons: "nil"

"Car is great the used price is decent and this car handles like it is new to this day. Exterior is sleek and beautiful along with the interior which has a pop up gps which most people don't even know is there, and 2 setting seat warmers. Only issue with interior is that stitching by the driver seat belt buckle is minimally torn (common occurrence) otherwise it looks beautiful. The handling/breaking is excellent and have been in no other decent priced car that matches it. Lastly the Bose sound system is superb, although the cd player is faulty I have a casset mp3 hookup and it works amazingly. PS: Gas mileage is generally better than advertised if you know how to drive."

"My 03 coupe is the 3rd Infiniti I owned! I love this car and always get lots of compliments from people I never met, I bought mine in 05 and im still happy with it today... the only few problems I had was the cruise control stop working and my cd player does not work anymore. Other than that its pretty much bulletproof, want to buy a newer one one day ;)"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 42,000

Cons: "Disappointing gas mileage."

"My first Infiniti was a 1990 M-30, with the exception of my 1983 Mercedes 380, and I've owned many cars, from a '59 Chevy Conv (the worst car ever)'60 Austin Healey a '60 XKE, Caddy's, Lincoln's, Toyota's you name it I've owned it, well most of them, over all I've found the Infiniti dollar for dollar is the best of Class. I don't drive a lot any more as I'm retired, with that in mind I bought my current Infiniti in '07 with high mileage, it had 21K on it and in the 6 yrs., I've had it, I've taken two trips up North, (FL to NY) and I've put on another 21K, for a total of 42,000 miles. Other then a new set of tires, cracked from standing in the heat, not worn out, and 1 new battery, it's been a dream. Rides smoothly, dependable and particularly good for long distance. If I have one complaint it would be the gas mileage, about 17-18. I would not hesitate to recommend this car and the manufacture, Nissan to anyone, and I did, my daughter recently bought a Nissan Altima."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 88,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Fast, comfortable, first tune up at 140,000 miles"
Cons: "I can't get a new 2004 ever again"

"I have had many cars in my lifetime and my Infiniti G35 is my fave. Yes it is a glorified Nissan Maxima however...what you get in this car you cannot get in the Maxima. Super spiffy at 260hp..awesome Bose stereo system, higher quality Leather not that leatherette garbage. I love the sunroof, it never leaks. All power even the passenger seat, ridiculous amount of airbags, rides ultra smooth and gets about 18 city. Another nice feature about all Infinitis is their paint jobs. Just smooth your hand over one then go to a Nissan and see the difference. There is a reason you pay more for a luxury sedan vs. a standard sedan."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 53,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Quick and Responsive, decent gas mileage."
Cons: "Parts are pricey if you buy from Infiniti."

"I bought this car last November with 51,000 miles on it. I had to replace the power steering high pressure line and chose to replace the factory radio with a better Kenwood stereo and a SiriusXM receiver. This car is fantastic to drive, it is quick and responsive. There is very little wind noise and it slices through the wake of an oncoming semi like a hot knife through butter. The steering is superb at high speeds. Unlike its cousin the 350Z, it has a back seat and is about a foot longer. It provides good comfort on long rides and can cruise effortlessly in the 90mph range. My other car is a 4Runner that is a tank and my G is a dream come true."
